🛡️ THE PREP BEFORE THE PROTECTION 🛡️

A lot of people see the finished result of an IGL Aegis underbody coating…
But what they don’t see is the amount of preparation that goes into getting a vehicle ready beforehand 👌

Before any coating is applied, the vehicle needs to be carefully:
✔ Lifted & inspected
✔ Masked to protect painted surfaces
✔ Wheels & components removed where required
✔ Cleaned & prepared correctly
✔ Dried thoroughly before application

Preparation is one of the MOST important parts of the entire process.

There’s no point applying a premium anti-corrosion coating over contamination, moisture or poorly prepared surfaces.

For this 2025 Isuzu D-Max, we spent the time ensuring everything was properly masked and prepared before applying IGL Aegis 👊

🇲🇾 IGL CONFERENCE – DAY 2

Another fantastic day of training and learning at IGL Coatings headquarters with IGL Coatings Australia

Yesterday's focus was on IGL Aegis and IGL Armor, with in-depth training on application techniques, product chemistry, and how layering both coatings together can provide superior long-term corrosion protection and durability.

We explored how IGL Aegis creates a highly durable anti-corrosion barrier designed to protect metal surfaces from moisture, salt, and environmental contaminants, while IGL Armor adds an additional sacrificial protection layer to further enhance longevity in harsh operating conditions. Understanding how these products work together allows us to deliver maximum protection for our customers' vehicles.

The team also had the opportunity to test and apply IGL Window, learning some valuable technical tips around glass preparation, environmental conditions, flash times, and application methods to achieve optimal bonding, clarity, and hydrophobic performance.

After enjoying a fantastic Malaysian lunch, we toured the IGL offices before participating in a roundtable discussion with Mr Keong himself and our Account Manager. It was an invaluable opportunity to discuss everything from product development, testing, and innovation through to real-world application and customer outcomes. These conversations help bridge the gap between the laboratory, the installer, and ultimately you—our valued customer.

Today is Day 3 and there is still plenty more to learn before we head home on Sunday.

There are also some exciting new products and developments on the horizon, and we can't wait to share more details with you soon.

Day 1 yesyerday at the IGL Conference in Malaysia.
