🏁 Something Big Is Coming to WA Drag Racing! 🏁

Do you own a steel roof and quarter-panel car running on 10.5 tyres? Then get ready, because something exciting is about to hit Western Australia.

Introducing WA 1/8 mile street surface Racing — currently in its final stages of development and set to bring a whole new level of racing action to the state.

The inaugural series will feature:
✅ 5 action-packed events
✅ 3 competitive racing classes
✅ Potential expansion to a second venue
✅ Plans to create WA's first-ever Drag & Drive event

This is just the beginning, and there's plenty more to come.

We currently have availability for most repairs, upgrades, servicing, performance work, fabrication and modifications without the long wait times many workshops are experiencing.

Whether it's a street car, race car, burnout car or weekend toy, we're here to help get you back on the road or track as soon as possible.

The only exception is major engine rebuilds that require machining, as machining turnaround times are dependent on external machine shops.

What a lovely day to deploy the drone for a lunchtime aerial survey to inspect several nearby motorsports tracks within 5-minute of the Perth Motorplex; incorporating a 1/8th mile drag strip and a burnout pad would greatly enhance this venue 😉

This 6-litre LS engine, recently completed in our engine room, a few weeks ago has been installed in a VK Commodore burnout car and is undergoing final preparations prior to its inaugural start-up, after which a quick dyno run to confirm the AFR readings, followed by a trip to Darwin to run it in on the pad 🤦🤣👍👍👍

The exhaust system to the turbo has been fully welded, thanks to the expertise of local Portuguese man Bruno Pestana; we appreciate your assistance. Furthermore, we have upgraded the fuel pump and reassembled the vehicle, rendering it drivable until we acquire a set of injectors, a two-bar map sensor, an external waste gate, a VZ radiator, and an intercooler; if anyone has any of these components, please contact us via text message, thank you.

Moving forward with our LS turbo workshop ute project, with most of the fabrication work completed, tack welded, and ready for full TIG welding, followed by the installation of the cold side plumbing.

Our Turbo project is moving along nicely here at LRE Motorsports 👌

But I’m already mentally preparing myself for next summer after deleting the air conditioning for more room for turbo activities

Going to be sitting in traffic hotter than the bloke running the Bunnings sausage sizzle with no gazebo 🌭🔥
