According to historical data from the CSIRO marine stinger database, Palm Cove recorded a staggering 216 marine stings, making it the second-highest recorded sting location in the dataset.
And with stinger season just days away, it’s a timely reminder that paradise comes with a few precautions! 🪼
We’re not here to scare anyone out of the water. Quite the opposite! We want Northern Australian families enjoying our beautiful beaches, safely.
☀️ Wear a full-length stinger suit.
🌊 Swim inside designated stinger enclosures.
🪼 Always follow local marine stinger warnings.
The ocean isn’t off-limits. Just don’t go in unprepared.
