Two products are far more than replacement parts. Vee Two completely redesigns and manufactures parts for Ducatis using current metallurgy and the latest state-of-the-art CNC machines. Vee Two parts have finer tolerances, improved materials and offer far greater performance parameters as well as being longer lasting, more durable, and competitively priced. The new Vee Two Wide Wheel Swing Arm is coming along nicely. Some have asked from the first sneak peek about how we will manage to align the drive chain, at first glance it appeared that the chain was too far off centre from the front sprocket… Good catch!

The engineering solution is a custom made sprocket in two pieces which will fit further towards the centre of the original late model Ducati hub aligning with the front sprocket and giving clearance on the tyre, the mock up tyre is 180mm wide, this would be our absolute maximum width tyre, 160 or 170 is probably a more sensible option. - SEE IMAGES 6.7.8

This square case bevel engine has been through the workshop: restored, checked, and today we fired her up to make sure it was running as good as it could be.

Vee Two wide wheel bevel drive swing arm has been designed to fit all Vtwin bevel drive model frames 1972-1984.

The swing arm is manufactured from 4130 Cromoly tubing, chain adjusting blocks and hardware manufactured from 7075 high tensile aluminium and hard anodised for wear resistance.

The wide wheel bevel drive swing arm will accommodate any late model Ducati rear wheel (mag wheel or spoke wheel) from Ducati models which use a conventional double-sided swing arm and use a 25 mm rear axle:

• Ducati Monster 620, 695, 800, 1000
• Monster S2R 800 and S4R 1000
• Sport Classic Range 2006-2010
• Supersport 750/800/900/1000 i.e.
• ST2, ST3, ST4, ST4S
• Multistrada 620
• Multistrada 950/950 S
• Multistrada 1260 (double-sided models)
• Scrambler 400 Sixty2
• Scrambler 800 (all variants)
• Scrambler 1100
• Hypermotard 939/950 (double-sided swingarm)

45+ years working on Ducati bevel twins taught us why sprag clutches fail…

Many owners replace the sprag clutch after failure — but don’t investigate what caused it.

During startup, issues like weak batteries, ignition timing problems, and ageing electrical systems can cause engine kickback.

That shock load is transferred through the starting system and can overload the sprag clutch.

Not to mention that the part was an original VW part used inside a Ducati engine.

After seeing this problem repeatedly, Brook Henry developed the Vee Two sprag clutch with improvements designed specifically for Ducati bevel applications.
