Another busy weekend spent on the VG Pacer tribute build

After thinking we could give the diff a stud re drill to 4.5 in, blast with the hp cleaner then a lick of paint then doing peg leg burnouts on Sunday NO NO NO🙄🙄🙄🙄

Turns out the old diff has had a bit of a hard life

When pulling the axels, we noticed they turned but something was off

After pulling out the carrier, we found the split pin had snapped and the spider gears worn big time on their shaft. See pics

Anyway looks like we can pick up some replacement bits next week so we can whack everything back together and throw in the hardtop to hopefully have it actually moving next weekend and peg legging its heart out.

Pulled the diff on the VG Pacer tribute build today

It’s only ever been rolled since we’ve had it

Looks like the spider gears are cooked. To many sick peg leg burnouts way back when😜

Anyway, on the lookout for a another VE to VG diff kicking around in Perth for parts, so shoot through a pm if you can help so we can keep moving with assembly

Clutch ✅

Shifter ✅

Clutch z bar ✅

Accelerator cable✅

Accelerator bracket ✅

Bonnet catch mech✅

Bonnet release ✅

Tailed shaft uni’s✅

So far gear box seems to change with no weird noises which is pleasing

Been a big weekend😳

Been a busy weekend so far

More wiring and dash/cluster install in the VG Pacer tribute

A lot of steps to get this far

At least it’s starting by the key

Head Lights working✅

Indicators working✅

Charging✅

Temp gauge working✅

Oil pressure switch working✅

Fuel gauge not yet connected. 🙄

Instrument lights working✅

Taco working✅
