We had this 2023 2500 in the shop this week apon heading back south from his Cape York Trip a bracket broke on a transmission cooler pipe and then the pipe rubbed up against a bolt head putting a hole in the pipe and losing trans fluid, lucky for him he was close to our workshop, we invested a could of ways to get it repaired without have to lift the cab off to replace the whole section of pipe, while at the shop he got talking about the adblue issues he had up there as well….. long story short we got a stage one tune and performed some weight loss surgery as well, making this rig a more reliable touring machine 💪💪💪💪

If you own an American truck we are your number 1 stop for all the work required to get the best out of your Rig

Development doesn’t stop after the first ute we tune — our calibration work is constantly evolving as we continue testing, refining and learning on the dyno.

This V6 Ranger arrived with an HPD intercooler and transmission cooler already fitted. We added a Manta turbo-back pipe to reduce the restriction and back pressure created by the factory exhaust setup, then continued refining the calibration through further testing on our Mainline dyno.

The results speak for themselves:

🔴 Standard: 142.6kW and 517.9Nm
🔵 Dieselflash tuned: 184.0kW and 631.5Nm

That’s a peak gain of 41.4kW and 113.6Nm at the wheels, with strong improvements throughout the entire rev range—not just one impressive number at the top.

This is why choosing the right tuner matters. At Dieselflash Whitsundays, we don’t simply load a generic file and send your ute out the door. Every setup is tested and monitored on the dyno, allowing us to see exactly what the engine is doing and refine the calibration to suit the vehicle and its modifications, giving you the best results in North Queensland.

Real development. Real testing. Proven results.

Toyota 79 series V8

🔵 Stock: 105.8 kW
🔴 Tuned before supporting upgrades: 136.1 kW
🟡 Same tune after supporting upgrades: 148.0 kW

At just 1,698 rpm, torque increased from:

🔵 Stock: 364.3 Nm
🔴 Tuned: 527.5 Nm — a gain of 163.2 Nm
🟡 After supporting upgrades: 635.6 Nm — another 108.1 Nm

That’s a total gain of 271.3 Nm over stock, right down low where a 79 Series needs it most for everyday driving, towing and getting a load moving.

The tune remained exactly the same between the red and yellow runs. The extra gains came after cleaning the restricted intake manifold and fitting a 4-inch Manta exhaust and ram head to the snorkel.

Just as importantly, the improved AFR after cleaning the manifold shows how much better the engine is breathing and leaner the afr runs.

This is why proper dyno tuning matters. We can monitor power, torque and AFR, identify restrictions and prove the results—not just perform a backyard “flash and dash” and hope for the best.

At Dieselflash, there are no corners cut. We ensure the complete package works together safely to deliver the best possible result. 💪
