One Of AMG's Rarest GT

Now Available: 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT R PRO — 1 of 15 Australian-Delivered Examples

The original AMG GT spawned some extraordinary variants. Few were produced in numbers as small as the GT R PRO. Production was limited to just 750 examples worldwide, with only 15 allocated to the Australian market.

That scarcity alone makes the PRO significant, but the more interesting part is what AMG chose not to change.

The already formidable GT R produced 430 kW and 700 Nm from its 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8. For the PRO, AMG left those figures exactly where they were and went looking for lap time elsewhere. More aero. Less weight. Manually adjustable coilover suspension. Lighter forged wheels. Greater chassis rigidity. The result was 7:04.632 around the Nürburgring Nordschleife, roughly six seconds quicker than the GT R with exactly the same engine output.

CHROME TEMPLE exclusively offers one of just 15 Australian-delivered examples. It has travelled just 1,257 km, is finished in Magnetite Black Metallic, wearing green motorsport-style livery and features an extensive factory specification.

We are convinced that the first-generation AMG GT will be looked back on as a golden era of Mercedes-Benz sports cars.

Maybe it’s time everyone else did too.

The Australian Supercar Story.

Now Available: 1988 Giocattolo Group B — #4 Of 15 Globally

Chassis #4. Ordered new in Queensland in 1988. Original paint. Original factory invoice. Comprehensively recommissioned by former brand personnel, and still driven today.

The Giocattolo was born from a dream, and an extraordinary amount of persistence.

’80s IT entrepreneur turned exotic car dealer Paul Halstead wanted to build an Australian supercar. When doors closed, he found another way. When Alfa Romeo refused to supply the engine, he turned to Walkinshaw. When Alfa Romeo refused to supply the body shells, he sourced complete Sprints from New Zealand and carried on.

What emerged wasn't simply an ambitious Australian experiment. It was a genuinely serious mid-engined exotic, a 5.0-litre Walkinshaw V8, ZF five-speed transaxle, Kevlar and carbon-fibre composite construction and a weight of around a tonne.

Contemporary road tests put the Giocattolo in the company of the Porsche 930 and Ferrari 308. For a small Australian manufacturer building 15 cars in Caloundra, Queensland, that wasn't just an audacious dream.

It was a real competitor.

The EVO Program.

The 993 has always occupied a particularly special place in the 911 story. It was the final air-cooled generation, but also one of the most resolved. Retaining the scale, tactility and character of an earlier Porsche while introducing another level of refinement that pointed towards what came next.

That combination makes the 993 an exceptional starting point for reinterpretation.

Retroworks builds on those qualities rather than replacing them. The Works 993 GTR EVO program combines dramatically wider bodywork, beautifully executed interiors and fully rebuilt mechanicals while preserving the analogue character that makes the original 993 so desirable.

With the sound of the air-cooled flat-six, the induction roar from the individual throttle bodies and the mechanical feel through the steering and gearbox, it’s a wonderfully visceral driving experience that modern cars struggle to replicate. Get in and drive.

And the best part? Just look at it.

The Best Kind Of Fast.
‍
Now Available: 2007 Porsche 911 (997.1) GT3 RS — 1 of 19 Australian-Delivered

There are faster 911s. There are more technologically advanced 911s. But few deliver a driving experience quite like the 997.1 GT3 RS.

Widely regarded as one of the finest driver's cars Porsche has ever produced, the 997.1 RS represents a golden era of analogue performance. A naturally aspirated 3.6-litre Mezger flat-six, six-speed manual gearbox, hydraulic steering and motorsport-derived chassis combine to deliver something increasingly rare: an extraordinary connection between driver and machine.

It's a car so rewarding that Richard Hammond has famously counted the 997 GT3 RS among his personal favourites — a testament to its appeal beyond outright performance figures.

This Australian-delivered example is finished in the striking and less commonly seen Arctic Silver Metallic with Pure Orange accents. Having travelled just 30,488 kilometres, it presents beautifully, supported by a comprehensive independent pre-sale inspection and comprehensive maintenance history with Porsche specialists.

There may be faster 911s. But this might just be the best kind of fast.

A New Era, Same Heart

Now Available: 2025 Lamborghini Revuelto — Delivery Kilometres

Finished in Nero Noctis with exposed carbon fibre, enormous Altanero forged wheels and flashes of Rosso from its brake calipers, the Revuelto looks every bit like the Lamborghini flagship should.

Then you press the start button.

Behind you, an entirely new 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 fires into life. It revs beyond 9,000 rpm, but now there are three electric motors waiting alongside it, filling in what the V12 cannot and taking total output to 747 kW.

This is where the Revuelto becomes more than simply Lamborghini’s first plug-in hybrid flagship. Electrification has not quietened the experience. It has made it faster, sharper and more immediate, while leaving the part that matters most completely intact. There is still a naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder engine behind your shoulders, still a pair of scissor doors above you and still that sense of theatre that has defined Lamborghini’s greatest cars for generations.

That is what makes the Revuelto so important. At a point when the V12 could easily have become history, Lamborghini found a new way to make it relevant.

Electrified, yes. But still unmistakably Lamborghini.

Ferrari 458 Speciale: Data.Driven.

Ferrari's rarest variant has returned 622% since new. 91% of it arrived in the last twelve months.

The 458 Speciale is the last Pininfarina-designed, naturally aspirated V8 Ferrari and it's repricing in real time. In this episode of CHROME TEMPLE Data.Driven. Lex and Chris take a look at the market data: body type, mileage, and originality. What actually moves value.

Certified scarcity. A shrinking pool of original cars.

25 Cars. 1 Country & 70 Years Of History.

Porsche’s relationship with Australia began with just two cars.

In 1951, Norman Hamilton brought the first Porsche 356s into the country, beginning a relationship that would make Australia, Porsche’s second export market outside Europe and its first right-hand-drive market. Seventy years later, Porsche decided that history deserved more than a commemorative badge.

So they built an Australia-exclusive GT3 Touring.

The 911 GT3 70 Years Porsche Australia Edition was the first market-specific model Porsche had based on a 911 GT product. Based on the exceptional 992.1 GT3 Touring, it retained everything that makes the modern car so intoxicating: a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six that charges to 9,000 rpm, rear-wheel drive and the cleaner, more understated Touring silhouette. Only 25 were produced, each finished in Fish Silver Grey Metallic, a modern interpretation of the colour worn by one of those original 356s in 1951.

This is not simply a rare GT3. It is a representation of Porsche’s Australian story.
