Today the Australian motoring community has lost a true legend.

David Bowden was more than a collector. He was a custodian of Australian automotive history.

Through his passion, vision and unwavering commitment to preserving some of Australia's most significant race and road cars, David ensured that future generations would be able to experience and appreciate an important part of our motoring heritage. His collection became one of the most respected in the country and inspired countless enthusiasts, restorers and collectors along the way.

As classic Ford enthusiasts, we owe a great deal to people like David who recognised the importance of preserving these vehicles long before many others understood their historical significance.

On behalf of everyone at Grand Tourer Australia, we extend our sincere condolences to the Bowden family and the entire Bowden's Own team.

Thank you for your contribution to Australian motoring history.
