Meet Duke—our unofficial shop wellness coordinator. 🐶🌸

While the rest of us are busy chasing schedules, answering phones, fixing vehicles, and putting out fires, Duke has mastered something we're still working on:

Stopping to appreciate the simple things.

As business owners, it's easy to believe there's always one more email to answer, one more repair to finish, or one more task to check off. The work is important—but so are the people waiting for us at home, the moments we can't get back, and the little things that make life worth living.

Today, Duke reminded us to pause... even if it's only for a minute.

Notice the flowers.

⚡ Tiny part. Huge responsibility.

Most people don't think about their spark plugs... until their vehicle starts running rough.

A worn spark plug doesn't always fail all at once. Instead, it can begin firing intermittently, leading to:

🚗 Rough idle
⛽ Reduced fuel economy
⚠️ Hard starts
📉 Loss of power or hesitation when accelerating

The plug on the left didn't quit overnight—it slowly wore down from thousands of combustion cycles, heat, and carbon buildup.

The good news? Spark plugs are one of the simpler maintenance items you can replace before they become a bigger problem.

Many manufacturers recommend replacing spark plugs around **100,000 km** (always check your owner's manual for your vehicle's interval).

Think of them like your morning coffee...

Without a good spark, your engine is basically trying to function before caffeine. ☕😅

Day 4: "Yep!"
Customer: "Sweet! I'll grab it... sometime next week."

No judgment—we know life gets busy. We just can't help but laugh because it happens more often than you'd think!

Story Time. ❤️

This picture isnt just about two sets of greasy hands after a long day in the shop.

One day while we were working on a vehicle, I got frustrated and said, "Why do they build it like this?"

Mike laughed, made a comment about engineers, then stopped and looked at me.

"What's wrong?"

I quietly replied, "I wanted to be a mechanic."

He looked surprised.

"You've never told me that."

I hadn't... because I didn't remember.

As someone healing from complex trauma, memories sometimes return when you least expect them. In that moment, I remembered being told as a little girl that being a mechanic was "man's work" and that it wasn't a job for girls.

Standing there with a wrench in my hand, I realized I was already doing the very thing I'd once been told I never could.

Mike hugged me, wiped away my tears, and simply said,

"If you want to pull wrenches, I'm not going to stop you. It's safe to be yourself with me."

Sometimes healing looks like remembering who you were before the world told you who you couldn't be.

Not just Canada Day… it’s Marie Day. ❤️🇨🇦

July 1st has always been a special day around here, but if you ask us, the fireworks have never really been for Canada Day… they have clearly been for Marie’s birthday.

Gone are the days when she fully believed every firework in the sky was just for her — but honestly, we’re not sure she was wrong.

Marie has grown from the little girl with big smiles, M&M cakes, and big dreams into the woman who brings heart, humour, chaos management, and so much personality into everything she does.

And if you had told us back then that one day we would be working together as family, side by side in the shop, we probably would have laughed and said you were full of it.

But here we are.

Best plot twist ever.

Marie, thank you for being you — funny, hardworking, caring, stubborn in all the best ways, and such a huge part of what makes Elite feel like Elite.

Happy Birthday to our queen, our legend.
We love you and hope your day is as special as you are. ❤️

Sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference!

When your "office" is actually a tool room... surrounded by parts, paperwork, phones, and the occasional impact gun... you learn to appreciate the little things that brighten the day.

These absolutely gorgeous blooms from Elliott’s Flower Farm did exactly that.

The moment they landed on the desk, the whole room changed. They smell incredible, they brought a splash of colour to an otherwise grey Saskatchewan day, and every time one of us walked by, we couldn't help but smile.

That's one of the reasons we love supporting local businesses.

When you shop local, you're not just buying flowers, coffee, or groceries. You're supporting families, dreams, and people who care deeply about what they create. And in return, those little purchases have a way of making your own day a little brighter.
