The new Bugatti Chiron isn't just another Bugatti made to go fast in straight lines. It's actually 43 mph slower than the regular Chiron and 86 mph slower than the Chiron Super Sport 300+ (a mouthful yes).
It's called the "Chiron Pur Sport" and it accelerates from zero to 60 mph in less than 2.3 seconds, from 0 to 124 mph in 5.9 seconds, and from 0 to 186 mph in 12.4 seconds. And yes before you start complaining about the top speed, remember there always going to be a trade-off and at 218mph this is by no means a slow car.
This car is made to carve corners on a windy road and attack tracks. It's capable of tolerating a lot more lateral G force than any Bugatti ever. At top speed it generates an additional 110 pounds of downforce for some serious driving.
Braking on a Bugatti is no little feat specially on a track because temperatures can easily reach melting points. To fix this problem, Bugatti made the wheels from a single piece of magnesium. These help dissipate the heat from the massive Carbon ceramic discs. Also on the wheels we find "aero blades" which when spun creates a suction effect on outside air thereby channelling the cold and turbulent air near the wheels into the disc brakes and channel it down the side of the vehicle to the large rear diffuser.
Now that braking into corners is covered let's talk about the actual cornering.
To help this aspect of the machine, Bugatti modified the chassis setup, changing the wheel camber, the stiffness of the springs, and removing 110 pounds of weight off the car. They even 3D printed the exhaust from titanium. That's how far they went to make this car a true wonder. And yes they slapped on a massive fixed rear spoiler.
Why? Because race car!
Well actually the logical explanation is there will be no hydraulic actuators controlling the wing and that's a saving in terms of weight and the wing creates serious downforce.
Bugatti and Michelin co-developed a brand new Michelin Sport Cup 2R tire specifically for the Pur Sport. The new tires are said to increase lateral grip by 10 percent!
Alright then. Cornering? Check!
Now excellent cornering tricks and all the cool stuff we spoke of is no good if we can't come out of a corner just as fast.
It still has the old 1500-hp quad-turbo W-16 of the regular Chiron. However, Bugatti completely reworked the transmission, shortening all gears by 18 percent, and adapted the engine to cope with the changed gear ratios. They also pushed forward the redline a tiny bit to help the driver stay in low gear so that they could use all of that boost from the quad turbo setup. The result? Its now 40% faster in acceleration out of corners than a regular Chiron. Chirons are already fast. It's going to be exciting to see what this bad boy can do.
Now a car with 'Pur Sport' added to the name won't be very pure without some good ol' power sliding right?
Well they beat us to that too. Turns out there will also be an added Sport+ drive mode that will allow for later traction and stability-control intervention when tracking.
Simply put, you get to drift your Chiron!
Now that's going to be a sight to see.

There will only be 60 Pur Sport models made, and they will reach a cost of around $3.6 million give or take a bit for the spec and customization you require.
