Winter doesn’t just begin when the snow falls. ❄️

As temperatures drop, the conditions on the road change too. The well-known rules of thumb therefore serve as a guide for when to change your tires: from O to O – October to Easter – and when temperatures fall below 7 °C. 🌡️

What actually goes into developing a tire? 👀

At our test facilities at IDIADA in Spain, a wide range of specialists work together towards a single goal: to further develop tires and test their performance under a wide variety of conditions. 🛞

As workshop manager, Carlos ensures that everything is ready for every test. Daniel and José, as subjective test drivers, assess how the tires actually feel on the road and on the test track. Eloy focuses on the objective side, analysing the data behind the performance using telemetry, GPS and other measurement systems.

Four people, different roles and a shared passion for cars. Ultimately, one thing matters most: working together to drive Linglong forward in Europe.

Have you ever spotted the Alpine symbol on your tire?❄️🏔️

The snowflake in front of three mountain peaks – officially known as the 3PMSF symbol – indicates that a tire has been tested for winter conditions. To qualify, it must meet specific requirements when driving on snow. 🛞

Important: In Germany, tires with just an M+S marking are no longer sufficient for winter road conditions. Since October 2024, suitable winter and all-season tires must bear the Alpine symbol.

🇮🇹 Three days, plenty of highlights and a shared vision for the future! 🚀

Our Linglong European Partner Conference in Milan is now behind us! Around 120 guests came together to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships and discover new perspectives together.

Among the particular highlights were the opening of our first Linglong Tire Centre in Europe, the launch of the new Sport Master 2, as well as exciting insights into our upcoming product innovations and the Linglong Hub partner programme. 🛞

🌙 It’s suddenly getting dark earlier – are you prepared?

In autumn, visibility changes faster than you might think. It gets light later in the morning and dark earlier in the evening – and on top of that, there’s rain, fog and wet roads. 🍂

🌧️ Well-maintained windscreen wipers and a clean windscreen ensure a clear view
🚗 Adjust your speed to suit visibility and road conditions

At IDIADA, we take a look behind the scenes of tire development: from driving dynamics and GPS data, through interior and road noise, right down to the hardness of the rubber compound, a wide variety of parameters are precisely recorded and analysed. 📊
