Old ➡️ New

Had a great opportunity to replace my fuel tank for just a few bucks.
The replacement is an aftermarket one from Ashuki and I'm curious if it performs as reliable as my OEM tank. Which I'll put in the shelf, just in case...

Couldn't replace the tank straps, the aftermarket ones were total garbage, so I'm currently lacking an alternative to my 31yrs old 👀
Improvised a bit on the buffering elements but these (padding material from packages & duct tape) are in better shape than the original ones 😅

Also replaced the Nitril line with PTFE and re-added some insulating material where the exhaust is close.

Side effect: the new tank saves another 1.5kg 💪🏽

[Unpaid ad] Shout out to for the high quality suspension parts they offer 🤝🏽
Preparing everything properly needs expertise, and the finished result is just awesome!

Look forward to hitting the track with this setup 💪🏽

Done with the underbody scraping & painting.

Engine bay is rat style and will stay like this 🤓
For now at least, will be painted when big upgrades are hitting. Stay tuned!

Depowered ST7 steering. Out of a DB Integra, identical to the Integra DC2 Type R steering.

Assembled, sealed, bolts and nuts are marked -- ready to go in 💪🏽
Turns very smoothly, it's just hard to film and turn evenly at the same time 😅

Curious how this will be on track 👀

Depowered Integra DC2 steering rack 👌🏽

Thanks to .sun I got an Integra DB6/DB8 steering rack (Thank you 🙏🏽). Which is the same as from an Integra DC2 Type R.
hinted that I need a cross-joint from a DC2 as well, to connect it to the EG steering column. And he's right 🤝🏽
Addition to that: it turns out, that the Civic EJ/EK cross joints do have the same, fitting dimension: 16mm on the steering rack side, 14mm on the steering column side. (EG has 14mm both sides).

Disassembled, Depowered, Reassembled, happy me 🙆🏽‍♂️
Improved lock-to-lock turns plus much simpler and more robust mechanics (sliders guiding the rack are metal, not plastic, ...).
Everything worked out great, it's ready to go in the car -- car is just not ready yet 🤓
Depowered and manual for now, but will get electrical steering column support in the future.

Scraping the underbody just takes forever and I did this as a reward inbetween. 1.5 wheel houses are still missing. Plus parts of the rear, these Civic Coupes are looong 😁

Scraping the wheel houses and underbody, approx. 8h of work up to now.

Final steps for the feonr away bar conversion 🙆🏽‍♂️

After cutring a lot of openings in the chassis I was busy closing and sealing them 😁
First of all I relocated the sway bar position towards the firewall to make better use of the lever and adjustability. Currently just mocked up, real relocators will be made with help of again 🤝🏽
Then I dis the housings and welded them in place. Last update for today: relocated brake lines, with both oem brackets in the wheel house being relocated as in EJ/EK Civics, in front of the coilovers.

Stay tuned for more 💪🏽

Updates on the front sway bar 🙆🏽‍♂️

Back from vacation and cut the chassis some more 🥲
Mounting plates for the sway bar are in and the driver's side is almost finished, just need to close the clearance-cut for the lever. "Just".
Big thanks to for challenging and discussing this conversion 💪🏽

Brake line mounting point was relocated to that of EK Civics. Well, almost: it's a bit further up (lowered racecar) and approx. 10mm further in front to not interfere with the external reservoirs of my coilovers. Drilled and cut the OEM bracket out and welded it to the new position OEM style 👌🏽

Additionally, folded a sheet of metal to close the firewall opening I cut due to my relocated rear engine mount. Turned out okay (including mounting point for under-dash-harness for OEM routing), will look much better when painted.

In preparation to mount the anti sway bar style, the base plates were fitted (easy). Now some space needs to be made in the wheel house (future work), the brake lines need to be relocated (future future work), beaides removing all the sticky protection from the wheel houses... there's quite some work in this setup. More details soon.

Fun fact: If a base plate falls into the shell, you can either cut the shell open - or trace that part to an opening from the interior: it's all connected 👀 Random fact, don't ask me how I know lol.

ASR Revolver fitted to Integra DC2 Type R trailing arms.
Just beautiful.
