from dust to foam rubber.

One of those small jobs that makes a big difference!

The DeLorean’s upper door panels originally had a layer of foam under the leather. After more than 45 years, that foam has usually turned into dust, leaving the leather looking loose and flat.

I replaced the original foam with 8 mm foam rubber (moosgummi). It’s still soft to the touch, but much more stable
than the original material. You can easily find 8 mm foam rubber on Amazon in your country.

The job is straightforward, doesn’t take long, and the result really transforms the look of the door panels. Definitely worth doing if you’re restoring or refreshing your interior!
