Today is the London- Brighton bike ride.. it must be quite the challenge in this heat, And Im sure the charities will also appreciate the efforts that would have gone into the ride today. I completed the Pilgrims Hospice ride in 2014 and enjoyed it.

In 364 days time, I will be taking on the 55 mile (approx) challenge... and maybe a couple of others will be joining me...
Dont worry, I wont be wearing lycra...

A year to train.....

💙 MEN’S HEALTH WEEK 💙

Men are often the ones people turn to when something goes wrong.

The ones who carry the shopping, fix the problem, work the extra hours, stay strong for their family and keep going even when life becomes difficult.

What many people do not see is that some are carrying far more than they let on.

Too many men still suffer in silence. They ignore symptoms, push through stress, hide anxiety and convince themselves that asking for help is a sign of weakness. It is not.

Real strength is recognising when something is not right and doing something about it. It is speaking to someone you trust. It is booking the appointment you have been putting off. It is admitting that you do not have to face everything alone.

This Men’s Health Week, take a moment to check in with the men in your life. Ask how they are really doing and take the time to listen to the answer.

If you are struggling yourself, please remember this. Looking after your health is not selfish. Your family needs you. Your friends need you. The world is a better place with you in it.

One conversation can change a life.
One appointment can save a life.
Take care of yourselves, gentlemen.

Another day of training. Today I completed my CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) which allows me to ride upto a 125cc motorbike on L plates independently.
Riding a motorbike most certainly gives you another perspective as another road user.
Definitely an eye opener...
