"Tick Box"
We are proud to say that Sofia passed her driving test today! 🏁
At the beginning, Sofia approached driving as a tick-box exercise. She would tick the box for second gear, then tick the box for third gear. However, sometimes you don’t need to change into third gear, especially when approaching a sharp corner or a hazard ahead.
Similarly, she would tick the box to drive at 50mph on a 60mph road, then tick the box to increase to 60mph. But if the car in front is travelling at 50mph, there’s no need to reach 60mph!
Through hard work and determination, Sofia worked extremely hard with Alex to move away from her tick-box methods and learn to adapt to the ever-changing situations on the road. Driving isn’t about following a checklist; it’s about understanding what’s happening around you and making the right decisions at the right time.
In just 15 hours of lessons, Sofia transformed her approach to driving. She learned to adapt, make confident decisions and tackle every challenge thrown her way to achieve her goal of passing her test!
