Another happy returning customer! 👏

Today we carried out another engine oil and filter service on this Mercedes-Benz E-Class for one of our regular customers.

Although the manufacturer recommends much longer service intervals, this customer chooses to have the engine oil and filter changed every 6,000 miles for complete peace of mind. As this is a licensed vehicle and their only source of income, reliability is absolutely essential.

Another Mercedes-Benz Vito diagnosed by WH Autos! 🔧🚐

We were recently called out to a Mercedes-Benz Vito after the customer reported intermittent blue smoke coming from the exhaust.

After carrying out a thorough investigation, we identified two faults:

🔍 Blocked crankcase breather
🔍 Turbocharger allowing engine oil to pass through the oil seals

As a result, a significant amount of oil had also collected in the intercooler system.

Following our diagnosis, we recommended:
✅ Replacement of the turbocharger
✅ Replacement of the crankcase breather
✅ Removal and cleaning of the excess oil from the intercooler and pipework

Unfortunately, this isn’t a repair that can be completed roadside, so the customer has agreed to have the vehicle recovered to our workshop where we’ll carry out the repairs and get it back to full health.

Mobile servicing at your convenience! 🔧🚐

Today we carried out a full service on a Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 for a good friend and regular customer of WH Autos.

Due to a busy schedule, they didn’t have time to bring the van to our workshop, so we took the workshop to them! Our mobile service meant they could carry on with their day while we completed all the work at their home address.

The customer requested quality aftermarket parts rather than genuine Mercedes-Benz parts, so we supplied and fitted:
✅ Engine oil and oil filter
✅ Air filter
✅ Fuel filter
✅ Dust/Pollen filter
✅ Topped up all fluid levels
✅ Carried out a full vehicle health check

The van had recently passed its MOT, so there wasn’t much else to report—which is always great news. It just goes to show that routine servicing is one of the best ways to keep your vehicle reliable, efficient and help prevent costly repairs in the future.

Another happy customer back on the road! 👨‍🔧🚐

Today we were called out to one of our regular customers who operates a fleet of luxury Mercedes-Benz party buses. These vehicles are booked for special occasions and events, so every minute off the road matters.

The customer contacted us because the electric side loading door had failed and wouldn’t open fully, putting their booking at risk.

We responded immediately and carried out on-site diagnostics. After gaining access to the vehicle, we stripped down the door mechanism and found the door lock catch had seized internally. We replaced the faulty component with a genuine Mercedes-Benz door lock, reassembled everything, thoroughly tested the operation, and had the vehicle repaired and back on the road the very same day—ready for its next booking.

Over the past several months, we returned our work van to the dealership on six separate occasions after repeatedly reporting the same ongoing noise and asking for it to be investigated while the vehicle was still under warranty. Despite raising the issue time and time again, the problem was never resolved and no lasting repair was carried out.

The van has now suffered a major failure and is completely off the road. As a small independent business, this has had a huge impact on us. We’ve lost work, we’re continuing to pay for a van we can’t use, and we’ve had to rely on a courtesy van that isn’t suitable for the type of work we carry out.

Throughout this process, we’ve repeatedly requested copies of job cards and technician reports but have experienced significant delays in receiving them. We’ve now escalated our complaint beyond the dealership and are continuing to pursue a fair resolution.

Despite the history of us reporting this issue while the vehicle was under warranty, we have been informed that the repairs will not be carried out as a gesture of goodwill, and liability for the fault has been denied. We strongly disagree with this position and are continuing to pursue the matter through the appropriate channels.

We have retained emails, videos, booking records and other documentation relating to this matter.

We wanted to share this to explain why some of our customers may have experienced delays or changes to appointments. Thank you to everyone who has continued to support us and be patient during what has been an incredibly difficult and frustrating time. We remain committed to seeing this matter resolved fairly.

🔧 Another Mercedes-Benz Sprinter back on the road! 🚐✅
This customer contacted us after suffering with an intermittent starting fault that had been causing problems for several months. The issue had reached the point where the van was becoming unreliable, so it was time to get to the bottom of it.
Using the official Mercedes-Benz diagnostic equipment, we quickly identified faults relating to the ignition switch along with multiple interior CAN communication faults.
After carrying out extensive wiring checks and confirming there were no wiring issues, our attention turned to the fuse box area. A relay shared a common circuit with all of the reported faults, so we began further investigation.
On removal of the fuse box, we discovered significant corrosion affecting both the relays and the fuse box, which explained the intermittent electrical issues.
We fitted a genuine Mercedes-Benz fuse box, along with new genuine fuses and relays. Once installed, all fault codes were successfully cleared, comprehensive function tests were carried out, and the van now starts first time, every time.
Another happy customer back on the road with confidence, knowing their van is now reliable again. 💪🚐
