The Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On is set to light up the resort on Friday 4th September, with British pop favourites Five taking centre stage on the Tower Festival Headland. Expect a night packed with nostalgia, energy and plenty of hits – including Everybody Get Up! 🎶

They’ll be joined by acclaimed rock band The Feeling and chart-topping singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan, making this year’s entertainment line-up one to remember.

There’s even more to look forward to as the BBC joins the celebrations. BBC Radio Lancashire presenters Graham Liver and Sharon Hartley will host the evening, alongside a special BBC Introducing showcase highlighting some of the region’s most exciting emerging musical talent.

🗼 Big news for Blackpool!

After months of campaigning by Chris Webb MP , £20 million has been secured from the Government to explore the feasibility of a new indoor arena as part of the Blackpool Central regeneration project.

While this funding is to assess whether the project can go ahead, the vision is exciting. A world-class arena could bring major concerts, sporting events, comedy, exhibitions and more, helping to create jobs and further cement Blackpool’s reputation as the UK’s entertainment capital.
