Behind the tools: Why AutoFix does things differently 🛠️🧠

If you haven't seen me posting on here for a while, it's because I've been focusing heavily on growth—both for the business and personally.

In fact, life has been moving so fast that I completely missed a massive milestone. On the 3rd of June, AutoFix Mobile officially turned one year old! 🎂 A huge, heartfelt thank you to every single one of you who has trusted me with your vehicles over this past year.

Around the same time, I took a week out to head to the mountains in Bulgaria for an enduro biking trip. It completely pushed me out of my comfort zone and was a massive physical challenge, but it turned out to be the ultimate mental reset.

Coming back with a clear head has only made me more focused on building a business that gives back. Alongside keeping your cars safely on the road, mental health and community are incredibly important to me. You might know I run Neuro-Nature Project, and to take things a step further, I am also starting a Mental Health First Aid course to better support the people around me.

I want that same level of safety, patience, and understanding to carry over into my day job.

For many neurodivergent people, dealing with car repairs is completely overwhelming. The noise of a garage, the executive dysfunction of arranging drop-offs, and the fear of being misunderstood can mean vital maintenance gets put off.

At AutoFix Mobile, I’m all about taking the stress out of your day by bringing the garage right to your driveway. But looking after your vehocle is only half the battle—it’s just as important to look after your mind.

That’s why I’m championing Neuro-Nature Project. We are heading out for our very first meetup tomorrow, and I’d love to see some more faces there.

We’re keeping it simple: a men-only space focused on mental health, breathwork, and grounding. It’s a proper chance to switch off, reset, and get some fresh air with a solid group of lads.

It doesn’t matter what your life at home looks like or who you go home to—this is a straightforward, inclusive space for all men to focus on their own well-being. Whether you’re looking to be a better partner, a better mate, or just feel more like yourself, you’re welcome here.

Who’s up for a reset tomorrow?

In my line of work, I spend my days fixing things that are broken. But recently, I’ve had to admit that the most important thing I needed to fix wasn't under a bonnet—it was my own mental health.

I wanted to share these two photos because they show a massive shift in my own "internal weather."

The first photo is me a couple of months back—depressed, mentally unstable, and taking refuge from the rain in the back of the van. When I was in that state, I was short and snappy with everyone. I didn't realise that by not regulating my emotions, I was making life harder for my partner and daughters.

The second photo is me only SIX weeks later. Same van, but a completely different mindset.

I’ve realised that as men, we often wait until a total breakdown before we seek help. I’m focusing on men’s mental health because I’ve seen the ripple effect: when we get ourselves right, the women and children in our lives benefit from a much kinder, more stable environment. Helping men is about helping the whole family.

I’ve made the conscious decision to clear some time today to listen to anyone who needs it.

Whether you’re a regular customer, a fellow mechanic, or just someone passing through this feed—if you’re in a "down" period and can’t see a way out, remember that a change in mood is always around the corner. The rain always stops eventually.
