Congratulations Fiona Jones!

Passed on her 1st attempt in 🌞 Rhyl today. 1 minor for a parking adjustment that the examiner said she hadn't needed to do. Stunning drive. An absolute natural driver, who had already started her journey with my lovely instructor friend Drive with Sian - Driving Tuition, but unfortunately had to pause lessons due a small matter of having a 2nd child. Kudos to Sian as you were already very good by the time you started lessons with me.

Sitting in the back of the car whilst Fiona completed such a spectacular drive was such a proud moment. Excellent feedback from examiner Lee, who really put Fiona at ease during the test, making conversation when he could see she felt nervous.

Fiona didn't fancy posing for one of my pass photos, which is completely fine with me. So I am recreating a pass picture (social media marketing!)

Fiona said if she has one piece of advice for my pupils who are yet to do their test it would be to stay chill and not rush.

Enjoy your freedom Fiona, you deserved that pass today. Well done!! 🥰🥰

What happens now if you fail your driving test?

A few months ago, if someone failed, it was upsetting, but often they could get back onto the booking apps, find a cancellation, and retake within a few weeks.

Now, for many learners, that is becoming much harder.

The DVSA has changed the booking rules to try and stop bots, resellers and unfair booking practices. I completely understand why something needed to change. But right now, the impact on genuine learners feels huge.

Sometimes a test just does not go your way. It does not always mean someone needs another six months of lessons. Many learners are test-ready, but nerves, pressure, one mistake, or one unlucky moment can change the result.

And now the pressure to pass first time feels even bigger.
Learners have already spent so much money getting to test standard. If they fail, they may not need loads more lessons, they may just need to keep their skills fresh. But with long waits, that becomes expensive, stressful and really unfair.

I genuinely hope the DVSA changes start to help over the next few months, because learners are under immense pressure at the moment.

The system needed fixing, but right now, a lot of genuine learners are feeling punished.

🎉 Nia Hughes, 1st Time Pass! 🎉

Congratulations to Nia Hughes!

Nia passed her driving test first time today with examiner Julie at Chester Test Centre, driving her own car.

Nia had her very first lesson with me on 7th April 2025 (one of my very first pupils), passed her theory test first time on 21st August, and then headed off to university.

When she came home for the Christmas holidays, she booked her practical test and got stuck straight back into her driving. Kindly volunteering to be my pupil for my Part 3 test, playing a huge role in helping me pass and qualify.

In total, Nia has had 26.5 hours of lessons with me, but a massive shout-out must go to her parents, who have supported her throughout and made sure she got plenty of practice outside of lessons.

Nia has been an absolute star from day one. She's helped me film training videos, had numerous trainers sat in the back of her lessons, and has always taken everything in her stride.

These last few weeks with your test coming up, you've really locked in and it's paid off. Thank you for all your support, Nia. It's been a pleasure teaching you.

Drive safe and enjoy your independence. Look forward to giving you a 👋 on the road.

Cancellation apps. Can't be used anymore.

If DVSA detects bot activity linked to your licence, they can cancel your booking or restrict your online booking access – meaning you can only manage your test by phone.

Since 12 May 2026, you are not allowed to use unofficial services that scan the driving test booking service for appointments. This includes driving test cancellation finder websites or apps.

DVSA continuously monitors the driving test booking service. If you book or manage your test in a way that breaks the terms and conditions, DVSA can:

1. Suspend your online access to book and manage your driving test - you’ll then only be allowed to do this by phone

2. Cancel your booking

♥️♥️ Izzie Laurence has passed her driving test ♥️♥️

🕜 Test time: 13:35
👨‍💼 Examiner: Stuart
✅ Result: PASS with 4 driving faults

Izzie started lessons with me on 27th July 2025.

I wasn’t Izzie’s first instructor and it genuinely makes me sad to hear that she had previously been told she would never get a manual licence. 😤

Well, today Izzie proved that was completely wrong. A fabulous test pass in a Manual car!

Izzie passed her theory first time on 6th October (Previous one ran out due to pausing her driving journey to have children 😊).

Originally we were going to test in March, but made the decision to move it because she wasn’t quite ready yet.

Looking back now, I’m so pleased we did. It was the right decision and today showed exactly why.

What has stood out with Izzie is the effort she put in outside the car too. Every single week she completed her lesson reflections. Every week she would tell me about a TikTok or YouTube video she’d watched to help her driving. She put in 100% effort and fully committed to the process.

This pass was earned 💪

♥️Enjoy the freedom, stay safe on the roads and thank you for being such a lovely pupil to teach. I’m incredibly proud of you and will miss you so much. ♥️

🥳 Sienna Tasker has passed her driving test! 🥳

Huge congratulations to Sienna Tasker who passed her driving test today on her FIRST attempt at Rhyl Test Centre with Examiner Keith.

A 4:24pm test in really busy conditions, makes this pass even more impressive.

I’ve been teaching Sienna since the 8th of October and she has honestly been an absolute pleasure to teach from start to finish. Always on time, reliable and ready to give 100%.

Sienna is one of those pupils every instructor hopes for. Calm, hardworking, reflective and always willing to listen and improve. She put everything into learning to drive and today all that effort paid off.

What makes this pass even more special for me personally is that Sienna also helped me through my own ADI Part 3 journey, allowing my trainers to sit in on her lessons, which helped to support me through my own exams.

It was brilliant watching her get over the line today.

I honestly couldn’t be prouder. Shout out must also go to her mum Rachel Teece & her Grandad who have supported her journey by providing her with lots of opportunities to get in private practice.

Thank you, Sienna, for being such a fabulous pupil and thank you for all your kind words in recommending me to others, including the lovely Evie Jones who passed just a few weeks earlier on 23rd April.

♥️Wishing you a lifetime of safe, confident and happy driving.
Stay safe out there and enjoy your freedom. ♥️
