☀️ Strengthening Our Solar Division

We’re pleased to introduce Sam, who has joined Ben Wood Group to lead our growing Solar Division.

With years of hands-on experience within the electrical and solar industry, Sam has worked on projects ranging from small commercial installations through to large-scale industrial solar systems. More importantly, he’s an engineer who has been on the tools, delivered projects, solved problems on site and understands the realities of installing and maintaining solar systems.

At Ben Wood Group, we are not a sales company selling solar packages.

When you engage with us, you’re dealing with experienced electrical and solar engineers who understand power distribution, industrial processes, grid connections, maintenance requirements and long term system performance.

We currently support and maintain over 8MW of installed solar PV systems, with a further 6MW of projects currently being developed.

well-deserved handover today for Tylor and his new van.

Tylor joined us at just 18 years old after working at Asda and started his journey towards becoming a qualified electrician. Over the last few years he has worked incredibly hard to complete his NVQ, developing his skills across a wide range of industrial environments.

From glass manufacturing plants and cold stores to packaging factories and nationwide projects requiring weeks away from home, nothing has ever been too much trouble. His attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn have been outstanding throughout.

It’s always rewarding to see young engineers progress through the business, and this handover is recognition of the commitment and effort Tylor has shown since day one.

Congratulations Tylor well deserved and we’re looking forward to seeing your career continue to develop with Ben Wood Group.

Ready for handover on Monday.

Three new additions to the Ben Wood Group fleet, fully fitted and ready for our engineers.

Each van has been equipped with a bespoke internal fit-out, secure storage, Armorgard locking drawers and organised racking systems to help our engineers work safely, efficiently and professionally on site.

Investing in our engineers, equipment and infrastructure remains a key part of our continued growth as we support industrial and hazardous area clients across the UK.

🚆 Train Wheel Lathe Installation Completed

Proud to share the completion of another major industrial installation for RMTS.

Our team delivered the full electrical package, including containment, cable management systems and control wiring for a new train wheel lathe installation.

Projects like this demonstrate the capabilities of our engineers, from detailed containment fabrication through to the final installation and commissioning stages.

With rail, manufacturing, logistics and hazardous area projects continuing to grow, it’s great to see another successful project handed over to the client.

🔧 Progress Update

Our engineers have been on site for our client completing the first phase of a container fit-out for the vehicle wash industry.

Containment, framework and power distribution infrastructure are now installed and ready for the next stage of the project.

A tidy installation today makes for a smoother commissioning process tomorrow.

⚡ EV Charging Installation Completed ⚡

We have recently completed the installation of a new EV charging infrastructure project.

The works included:

🔹 3 x Single Phase EV Chargers
🔹 1 x Three Phase EV Charger
🔹 Load Monitoring System Installation
🔹 New Distribution Equipment
🔹 Containment & Cabling Infrastructure
🔹 Surge Protection
🔹 Protective Barriers & Vehicle Impact Protection
🔹 Testing & Commissioning

As with all of our projects, attention to detail and Saftey were key considerations throughout the installation.

From the containment and power distribution through to commissioning and load management, our engineers delivered a complete turnkey solution for the client.

A great job by the team and another successful project completed.

A proud moment for Ben Wood Group.

After a huge amount of hard work, training, inspections and commitment from our team it’s great to finally have our NICEIC Hazardous Areas accreditation displayed across our fleet.

Hazardous Areas and ATEX environments continue to be a growing part of our business supporting clients across the manufacturing, logistics, cold storage and industrial sectors throughout the UK.

This accreditation is not just a logo on a van it represents the competence, knowledge and standards required to work safely within potentially explosive atmospheres.

A big thank you to our clients for supporting our growth.

A snapshot from today at the HQ

While many only see the finished installation, there’s a huge amount of planning, preparation and logistics that takes place behind the scenes to keep projects moving nationwide.

Good job we don’t have all of the vans back at the same time, otherwise we’d be looking for a bigger yard! 😅

As we head into June, we have a number of major projects already underway and several more due to commence over the coming weeks.

We have multiple ATEX installations starting very soon. Our division going from strength to strength.

Three new vans delivered today for the expanding Ben Wood Group team.

These will now undergo full BWG branding and fit out before heading out onto projects nationwide.

• 2 x for new starters joining the business
• 1 x upgraded van for an existing engineer
