Memorial Tribute for Ellen Wilkinson
It is with great sadness that we remember Ellen Wilkinson, a much-valued member of the East Yorkshire Branch of the Morris Minor Club for many years.
Ellen was far more than simply a long-standing member of the club; she was one of its dedicated supporters and an important part of its history. Through her active years as Club Archivist and Magazine Editor, she gave generously of her time, care, and enthusiasm, helping to preserve the rich story of the club and share it with members near and far.
Her work as Archivist ensured that treasured records, photographs, and memories were carefully kept for future generations, while her role as Magazine Editor brought the club to life on the page, keeping members informed, connected, and engaged. Ellen’s commitment, attention to detail, and obvious love for the Morris Minor community made a lasting contribution that will not be forgotten.
Beyond her official roles, Ellen will be remembered for her friendship, loyalty, and the passion she brought to the club over so many years. People like Ellen are the heart of any club, and her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
We offer our sincere condolences to her family and friends, and we remember with gratitude all that she did for the Morris Minor Club. Her legacy remains in the records she preserved, the words she wrote, and the many lives she touched through her years of service and friendship.
Ellen will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

A few appropriate shots to round off an excellent evening for the branch at the Goodmanham Arms in East Yorkshire. A splendid and quirky, candle lit, village hostelry who's welcoming owner has a split screen Minor in his own classic car collection.

Excellent food, good conversation and Morris Minors in the car park have made for a fun evening.

Due to work in the kitchens at the Warton Arms we are on the for our June meeting next week. As our next meeting has temporarily relocated to The Goodmanham Arms,
Goodmanham, Nr Market Weighton YO34 3JA at the earlier time of 7pm on Tuesday 2nd June.
This is very traditional pub with a very uniquie interior with surprises around every corner, the owner even has his very own Morris Minor!

Please can you confirm your attendance and numbers by Saturday 30th at the latest as we need to confirm numbers as sandwiches and homemade chips are being provided

Parking is located in the village car park which is approximately a 2 minute walk away from the venue. Why not come
in your Morris for a lovely run into the Yorkshire Wolds.
