The May road safety update highlighted concerns around speeding, including research showing many drivers admit to breaking 30mph limits.

Most drivers know speed limits exist.

The issue is attitude.

“I’m only a few miles over.”
“Everyone does it.”
“I’m in control.”

That’s why proper driver training has to focus on behaviour, not just rules.

Learners need to understand risk before bad habits become normal.

Stalling usually means one of three things:

you’re tense
you’re rushing
your timing isn’t quite there yet

That’s normal.

It doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It doesn’t mean you’ll never get it.
It definitely doesn’t mean you’re “not a natural.”

Tiem for a career change is it?

Thinking about becoming a driving instructor?

Before you sign up anywhere, ask these questions:

Will I meet my actual trainer?
How much in-car training is included?
Is most of it online?
What support continues after qualification?
Am I tied into a long contract?

This is a proper career so don’t choose based on the biggest advert or the cheapest package.

Train properly from the start.
