Our Rolls-Royce 20hp parts have returned from being nickel plated....and aren't they glorious!

We are so lucky to work alongside many other small businesses who are absolutely excellent at what they do, and it brings us so much joy to see them work their magic! Can't wait to get these onto the car!

What a week!

Anyone who's visited us this week will have noticed that our workshop and yard are absolutely full!

We've got everything from Alvis and Derby Bentleys to GTs and Silver Clouds, and we're feeling incredibly lucky to be trusted with such a wonderful collection of cars.

Our customers, both new and long-standing, are always so friendly, supportive and kind, and we really do appreciate every one of you.

This is a busy time of year for us, with cars coming in and out as quickly as we can manage so you can get back on the road and enjoy them.

The flip side is that winter tends to be much quieter, making it the perfect time to tackle those bigger restoration projects that aren't as time-sensitive.

So, while you're out enjoying your classic this summer, have a think about what you'd like to have done over the winter to make sure it's ready for another fantastic driving season next year.

Variety is the spice of life, and this beautiful Alvis has certainly been turning heads in the workshop this week.

Having recently undergone a full restoration elsewhere, it arrived with us for the final stage of the journey. Our client—whose Bentleys we already look after—asked us to carry out the fine tuning needed to ensure it runs every bit as well as it looks.

A comprehensive restoration is a huge undertaking, and when a significant proportion of a car has been dismantled and rebuilt, it's not unusual for adjustments to be needed. Fine tuning is often essential to ensure everything works together exactly as it should.

We're confident that by the end of the week this Alvis will be running like a dream... perfectly complementing its stunning paintwork.

Another glorious weekend for the RREC Annual Rally. Matt went up to the Rally with our lovely bodywork specialist and they had a great day chatting with some of our wonderful clients, enjoying some beautiful cars....and doing some minor emergency repairs for a few people who found themselves in need of it 🤣

Matts technical skills are always very popular at car shows...never a dull moment 🤣

Who's going to the RREC Annual Rally this weekend?

It's going to be another hot and sunny Rally this year and we have lots of lovely clients heading out to it. Matts hoping to go up for the day on Saturday and he's looking forward to seeing lots of familiar (and not so familiar) cars and their owners!

We shouldn't have favourites, but if we did, this one would rank very highly in the Arnage category!

With its gorgeous blue and cream interior, beautiful condition, and incredibly lovely owners, there's a lot to like about this car.

We've been looking after it for the past 15 years, so we know it exceptionally well. As a result, it rarely throws up any surprises, which is a testament to the value of regular maintenance.

It's remarkable how much an annual inspection and service can help prevent unexpected issues and take the sting out of potentially costly repairs. Consistent care really does pay dividends in the long run!

One in, one out!

This was the scene on Friday, and we never tire of seeing multiple generations of Bentley parked side by side.

Pictured here are two beautiful examples: a lovely Bentley S Series, which Matt is carrying out the final checks on before it heads home, and an equally lovely Arnage, which has just arrived for its annual service.

There's never a dull moment here. There's always something interesting in the workshop, and we never take for granted the trust our clients place in us to care for these exceptional cars.

Our very skilled metal working specialist has been busy again, this time creating the windscreen for our Rolls-Royce 20hp.

He's done such a lovely job of joining the bracket into the screen and making a beautiful seamless frame. It will soon be ready for plating!

Of course the wood isn't staying 😉 although he did suggest that maybe we leave it like that so you can paint whatever driving view you like on it 😅

When your car is the same colour as the sky ☁️

It's hotting up again here which means it's air-con season!

This lovely Spirit came to us today, just for an hour, to have a quick air conditioning recharge.

With the air-con now refreshed and blowing nice and cold, it should be a much more comfortable drive over the warm weekend ahead.

The weather doesn't know what it's doing but it doesn't matter, because this Silver Shadow looks glorious in all weathers!

This car has so much character, we love the fact that it's not in immaculate condition. The leather seats wear their age honestly with creases from where 50 years of occupants have sat. The paintwork is worn but still beautiful and very characterful. And, it turns many heads as it drives through the streets of London!

Each vehicle we work on has it's own story, and we tailor all of our work to each owners requirements. Whether your looking for concourse standard, originality or practicality we are here to help!
