Thank you to Beau! 👏

This week we’ve had Beau joining us for work experience, helping out with our social media, and it’s safe to say he’s absolutely smashed it.

We first met Beau around two years ago when he came along to photograph one of our events, so he was already familiar with Genome Design and the team. Since then, it’s been brilliant to see how much he’s developed his skills and confidence.

From filming and photography to editing and content creation, Beau has thrown himself into everything this week with a fantastic attitude, plenty of initiative, and some brilliant ideas. He’s been a huge help, and we’ve genuinely loved having him as part of the team.

He’s impressed us that much, we’ve already offered him a job for when he leaves school! 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 We’re also hoping he’ll be able to spend some time with us over the summer holidays to continue building his experience and helping out with our content.

Thanks again, Beau - it’s been a pleasure having you with us this week, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.

Inspections done properly. Every time. 🔍

This Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS joined us in the workshop for a comprehensive Pre-Warranty Inspection, alongside a check of the Catch Can we previously installed.

By inspecting the Catch Can, we’re able to see exactly how much oil has been captured before it has the chance to re-enter the system. As you’ll see in the reel, we uncovered a healthy amount of oil inside the Catch Can – exactly what we want to see. Rather than being drawn back through, that oil has been trapped where it should be.

It’s a straightforward modification that offers genuine long-term benefits, helping to protect your car and maintain performance over time.

Following a thorough inspection, this Targa is now ready to be covered under our Genome Design Warranty and back on the road with complete peace of mind.

"A nervous 992 GT3" - it's something we hear more than you'd think. And nine times out of ten, the alignment is at the root of it.

Owners describe it in different ways. Skittish. Unpredictable. Doesn't feel planted. Moves around on the motorway. Unsettling on a fast road. The GT3 is one of the most dynamically capable cars Porsche makes - so when it doesn't feel right, something is wrong.

This 992 GT3 came to us recently with exactly this complaint. New dampers had been fitted and the suspension software correctly updated to the ST damper settings. The components were right. The issue was that following the installation, the alignment had never been properly reset.

Any time suspension work disturbs the geometry - damper replacement, ride height adjustment, component removal and refitting - the alignment needs to be set from scratch. It doesn't carry over from before the work. It has to be measured, corrected, and signed off.

When we put this car on the rig, the figures were stark. Front axle: toe-in on one side, toe-out on the other. Rear axle: the same story - opposing toe figures with mismatched camber across both corners. Every wheel was doing something different. The car had no consistent loading, no balanced feedback, and no chance of feeling stable regardless of how good the components underneath it were.

A full four-wheel alignment to the correct 992 GT3 specification transformed it completely. Planted, precise, and confidence-inspiring - as it should be.

If your 992 GT3 feels nervous and you haven't been able to put your finger on why, it's worth having the alignment checked by someone who knows exactly where those figures should sit.
