***UPDATE*** - It doesn’t appear to have gone live yet, but Facebook have stated that “Our technology made a mistake when suspending your group, Looking for Jobs in Norwich, Norfolk”. 🙌 The group should be restored soon.

My Facebook Group, Looking for Jobs in Norwich, Norfolk has been suspended apparently due to a post I made over a decade ago on 14/02/2016. The post contains an old and likely dead link. The original link would simply take people to the latest job listings in the area on the popular and well regarded jobs site, Indeed - just as explained on the post - but for some reason the post has been flagged as employment fraud (possibly due to being a dead link and having no job information).
I feel the suspension of the entire group, which has been a community resource for over 10 years is very harsh and punishes thousands of members for what is essentially a small administrative error in leaving a dead link live.
I have run the group for free for over a decade. I have only ever posted genuine jobs on the group with as much information as possible and although I have placed restrictions on the group using Facebook tools the group has been open for other people to post job opportunities for that entire time.
Sometimes, despite Facebook’s own post reconstruction tools being employed, there has been abuse from people posting fraudulent jobs or scams. I have tried to remove as much as I can when I’ve had time, when I noticed it or when our genuine members have made reports.
The appeal option I was given by Facebook did not allow me to submit any further information to Facebook/Meta and gave only a few pre-prepared responses including, “the post was a joke”, “the post was to raise awareness”, “you misunderstood the post”, “the post was a response to someone else” and “something else” - none of which seemed appropriate.
I chose, “something else” expecting to be presented with a comments box to submit my appropriate response but this was not the case.
If anybody knows of an effective way to appeal to Facebook/Meta to have the group reinstated I would greatly appreciate any help.
Thank you
