🌧️🚗 Rainy days & darker evenings – are you prepared? 🌙💡
As the weather gets wetter and the evenings get darker, it's worth taking a few extra moments to make sure you're ready for the road, especially if you haven't experienced these things yet.
✅ Check your tyres, wipers and washer fluid.
✅ Keep your windows, mirrors and lights clean.
✅ Make sure all your lights are working correctly.
✅ Leave at least a 4-second gap in wet conditions. Reduce your speed earlier by braking gently with plenty of time.
✅ Watch out for pedestrians and cyclists in dark clothing, especially in poor visibility.
✅ Be cautious around standing water and never assume other road users are easy to see!
Remember, being able to drive doesn't just mean controlling the car, it means adapting to the conditions.
