Second job today was one of my regular customers on my JM Maintain Package for their monthly upkeep.

Next one round we will also get the upholstery seats shampooed as the kids chocolate fingers are causing havoc 😂😂

Had this Toyota in this morning for some cosmetic repairs. The customer recently purchased this vehicle and when it arrived, had some issues with stone chips on the bonnet and scratches on the piano black trim. I touched up the bonnet with colour matched paint, single stage machine polish (2 stage was needed on some parts and the piano black) and sealed with a 12 month hydrophobic wax 👌🏻 the job was only to do the repairs, but I done a full exterior detail too as I wanted the whole car to look as good as the bonnet 🫡 another happy customer at JM Detailing.

🔒 information is key 🔑

When a potential customer contacts me and asks for their car to be detailed or valeted, I always ask questions before anything else.

Why? Isn’t that a waste of everyone’s time? Nope!

I always ask the key questions that will allow me to provide you with the best service package aligned to your needs and the cost to do the job. This prevents you getting irritated if I were to show up and explain there would be additional charges for X,Y,Z. I prefer to have all of this sorted before I even arrive.

Questions I’ll ask are:

1. What’s the make/model of car
2. When was it last valeted or detailed
3. Are there excessive pet hair or dirt areas
4. Staining on seats
5. Do you have a water tap outside
6. Do you have a socket outside
(I can take water and power, but it’s more efficient to use domestic supplies)
7. Area you live for planing purposes

These types of basic things. I’ll also ask for photos of the car inside and out. This gives me a much clearer picture of what the workload will be.

Would questions like these irritate you, or make things easier in the long run (as they’re intended to do). I’m curious 🧐 to see what customers opinions are.
