I spent a few hours yesterday, flatting the primer. I found a dent we’ve missed, so got that repaired too.
Final prep next week, then it’s ready for paint….

Not a lot to share today. The electricity board switched the power off for most of the day.
We were pre-warned, but that doesn’t really help. Also, it essentially cost me 2 people’s lost labour for a day. Somehow that’s acceptable?
They caveat the lack of electric, by implying, that, their advance warning gives us time to make arrangements. Hmmm, let me just get some of that electricity I was saving for a special occasion….
I did manage to finish off the Mini Sprite. All cleaned and stickers fitted.
It’s going how tomorrow…..

I’ve had a busy couple of days, on the white MGB roadster.
Wayne had actually done a fair chunk of the prep, I just finalised it.
Masking seemed to take forever, but we don’t want any over spray!
Before primer, and following a thorough degreasing, and tacking off, I applied a coat of Mipa Paints United Kingdom MIPA SE, corrosion sealer. After that has flashed off for 45 minutes, I applied 3 coats of Mipa 4+1 highbuild primer….

The Mini Sprite is very nearly back together. Wayne has done a fantastic job of putting it all back as it should be.
I need to for the windscreen and the various stickers, a tiny bit of polishing, and it’s all done!
