This customer came to us in a slightly different way!

After visiting one of our local parts suppliers, our company director, Alex, made a good impression on the lady at reception through his professionalism, politeness and dedication while sourcing parts for another customer’s vehicle.

This vehicle came to us with a suspected gearbox fault.

After removing the gearbox mechatronic unit, we also removed the gearbox to carry out a full inspection. Once our checks were complete, we were able to confirm that the gearbox itself was not at fault.

The issue was traced back to the mechatronic unit, which has now been sent away to a specialist for repair.

Accurate diagnosis is key – replacing a gearbox unnecessarily can be extremely costly, so taking the time to properly inspect and diagnose the fault has potentially saved the customer a significant expense.

We’ll keep the customer updated and look forward to getting this vehicle back on the road soon. 🔧🚗

After carrying out an inspection on my other half’s brother’s vehicle, we found that the rear brake discs and pads were in need of replacement.

The vehicle was stripped down, all components were thoroughly cleaned, and new discs and pads were fitted to a professional standard, ensuring the braking system is safe and performing as it should. ✅🔧

Following a thorough inspection, we found a couple of items requiring attention:

✅ Both front top mounts have excessive wear and need replacing.

✅ Anti-roll bar link rods are also worn and have developed play, which can lead to unwanted suspension noise and affect handling.

We’ll get these replaced and have the suspension back performing as it should, ensuring a smoother, safer drive for the customer. 🚗💨
