Attended a pre-booked recovery this morning in Taunton of this MK4 Volkswagen Golf.

Recovered home by the AA with suspected clutch issues when collected off the A303 a few weeks ago.

The customer then had to find a garage for it to be booked into that's where I came into play.

Collecting it from the customers home off his driveway and transported a few minutes around the corner to his requested garage for its repairs tomorrow 🔧 ⚙️

On the way back from Gloucestershire, I stopped off in Bridgwater to collect this Ford Focus to take to Torquay.

A key was left in an Amazon lockbox at Lidl as the customer abandoned the vehicle and headed home, once I got to the Focus, I loaded it up and met him at home where I then linked it up to my straight bar so I could reverse him up his tight driveway so it could be parked off the road

The water pump had failed and the engine cooked itself blowing the head gasket so was unable to fire it up to move it about.

All in all was a decent recovery, but a tricky park up 🥵

Collected this Hyundai VELOSTER SE T-GDI from Weston super mare this afternoon to be transported back to the place of purchase in Gloucestershire after the new owner ran out of patience on it.

Bought a little less than 2 months ago, only drove it 200 miles in the time owned and spent the remainder of its time in and out of garages and or parked up awaiting repairs as it's suspected to have an ECU issue.

So again, I refused to put power into it. Spent a while manhandling it off the stone driveway, pushed it down the road to a suitable place to load it onto Logan then carried out the return, the customer was very happy to see the back of it 🫣

Called to this LWB Ford Transit this morning, to be moved from one garage in Taunton to another in Taunton.

Vehicles battery was flat and dead on key, however was told the turbo had failed so I didn't try to start it or put power to it, just linked it up on the straight bar and pulled it to its destination for repairs 😎.

Quick little hop around the corner 🤓

Went back out to the Toyota CH-R this morning for the battery replacement.

Nice 5 minute swap over to satisfy my customer, very delighted to be able to start his motor again whenever he wanted without worry that he didn't have any juice in the battery 🔋

Went to play with this VW beetle based buggie this evening.

Unable to get it to fire in, fiddled with the dizzy, points and solenoid. Figured out the wiring and firing order.

Managed to find a spark after volt testing and power probing items, put the battery on battery support then fine tuned to find the cough.

Once in the ballpark of the sweet spot dialed and fired into like, albeit a little lumpy and happy but the customer now knows what steps to take next now life has been found 😎

Went out to this Scoda Fabia this afternoon for a handbrake adjustment, the customer needed the throw of the handbrake lever to be lowered due to excess travel.

So I adjusted the front nut to tighten the cables and reduce the height on the handbrake lever when active. 🤓

Attended this Toyota CH-R hybrid today for a jumpstart in Wellington.

The 12v battery is faulty, therefore we've made plans for me to attend again tomorrow morning for a battery replacement 💪
