Progetto interessante o strano estro creativo?

Orazio Satta Puliga was born in Turin in 1910 and inextricably linked his professional life to Alfa Romeo.

Having joined in 1938, he collaborated with Gioachino Colombo on the development of the Alfetta 158, the future dominant force in Formula 1.
In the post-war period he took charge of the design department, becoming the pillar of the company's reconstruction.

Satta Puliga guided the historic Milanese brand from artisanal production to large-scale industrial manufacturing.
Under his direction, the 1900 was born, alongside the iconic Disco Volante (1900 C 52) with its futuristic aerodynamic shape.

He brought to life the legendary Giulietta, a car that successfully combined sports performance with global commercial success.
He subsequently coordinated the development of the Giulia, consolidating the Biscione's international fame worldwide.
He formed an exceptional team of engineers, championing talented figures such as Giuseppe Busso and Carlo Chiti.

In 1951 he was appointed central director and later served as general vice president.
Satta described Alfa Romeo not as a mere means of transport, but as a lifestyle and a deep passion.
He headed design at the Portello factory for decades, defining the sports DNA of the brand forever.

Passing away in 1974, he remains one of the most authoritative and beloved figures in Italian automotive history.

Which modern Alfa Romeo sports car do you like the most?

They all feature a V6 engine, but style counts for a lot: would you choose the Giulia GTAm, the 33 Stradale, or the new Cuore Rosso?

The pairing of Antonino La Vecchia and the legendary Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI DTM wrote one of the most memorable and thrilling chapters in Italian hillclimbs of the late 1990s.

The car, essentially a covered single-seater powered by a screaming V6 revving past 11,000 rpm and equipped with an ultra-advanced all-wheel-drive system, found an impeccable master in the driver from Basilicata, who successfully tamed its sheer brutality on mountain roads.

The 1998 edition of the prestigious Monte Erice hillclimb marked one of the absolute peaks of this duo: along the challenging and spectacular hairpins between Valderice and Erice, La Vecchia delivered a hair-raising performance that enthralled the massive Sicilian crowd. With a drive right on the limit and the unmistakable roar of the Alfa serving as the soundtrack, he secured an incredible second place overall among prototype race cars and was the only driver besides the winner to break the 7-minute barrier.

It was an epic feat that cemented La Vecchia's 155 DTM as an immortal icon of the Italian Hillclimb Championship.

❗️NEWS❗️

The new Alfa Romeo has just been unveiled! The Cuorerosso presents itself as a design manifesto and concept car exploring the brand's new stylistic languages and mobility.

The exterior design and revealed details highlight refined elements such as slat mirrors with tricolor inlays and circular LED taillights echoing the 33 Stradale.

The interior features sporty, enveloping seats with triangular headrests, suggesting a two-row configuration with potentially four or five seats, departing from a pure coupe structure to take shape as a GT.

Notable technical features include a steering wheel with a DNA drive selector, while the engine roar in the teasers has fueled speculation about the presence of a V6 engine.

Designed to keep the driver at the center of the experience, this prototype is not intended for mass production but defines the future vision of the Quadrifoglio brand.

Designed in 1952 under the technical direction of Orazio Satta Puliga and with the contribution of engineer Gioachino Colombo, the Alfa Romeo 1900 C52 was conceived as an experimental racing car based on the mechanics of the 1900.

The primary goal was to achieve maximum aerodynamic efficiency and ensure stability even in strong crosswinds. Carrozzeria Touring in Milan created the characteristic biconvex lenticular body with sharp edges and an aluminum Superleggera structure on a tubular steel spaceframe. Its futuristic shape, resembling a flattened droplet or a spaceship, quickly earned it the iconic nickname "Disco Volante" (Flying Saucer). Powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine delivering 158 hp for a weight of just 735 kg, it exceeded 220 km/h.

Although built in very few units and never put into series production, it served as an extraordinary aerodynamic laboratory. Today, the stunning original Spider specimen is proudly displayed at the Alfa Romeo Historical Museum in Arese.
