Another month, another shipment heading out of Kelford HQ and bound for our Detroit warehouse.

Four boxes packed to the brim with the gear that keeps engines winning races and breaking records — camshafts, valve springs, DLC buckets, cam gears, valvetrain components, and a stack of new products making their way into USA stock.

Deep hole drilling is a highly skilled operation — especially when done in a lathe. Today we’re drilling Honda K20C cams in our Doosan Lynx 2100LSYB using a Kennametal 10mm 30XD through-coolant drill, backed by 600psi coolant pressure to evacuate chips efficiently.

The team has spent a lot of time clocking this drill to under 0.005mm runout for seamless operation and maximum precision.

Chevrolet LS3 on our Spintron using a Johnson short-travel hydraulic lifter. Testing the limit to see where control starts to fall away — can you hear the valve bounce right at the end? 👀
7900RPM… pretty damn good for an off-the-shelf hydraulic cam and 160lb dual valve spring setup. Our goal is a stable valve train to 8500rpm while keeping the hydraulic lifter!
