So so proud of this whole family’s way of thinking.

The droughts are amazing humans. Can’t wait to see how many more continents James can take over!

Get behind James Drought Motorsport - grab his signature early. It’s going to be harder to get after he’s in MotoGP;-)

🇳🇿🏁 A young Kiwi racer making big moves on the international stage!

James Drought Motorsport only started riding and racing our Delirio EVO10 MiniGP bike several months ago, through Minigp Academy NZ training programmes, but his journey is already taking him around the world.

Representing FK Racing, James travelled to Australia to compete in the FIM Ohvale MiniGP support class (110cc), gaining valuable experience against strong competition.

And the adventure doesn’t stop there, this August, James is heading to China to compete in the MiniGP 110cc class, proudly carrying the New Zealand flag overseas.

For someone so new to the sport, his progress has been nothing short of impressive, and he may well be the youngest Kiwi rider competing internationally at only 9 years old.

We are extremely proud to support James and help him as best as we can throughout his riding development.

The future is bright for this young racer. Keep an eye on James — this is only the beginning.

This was an invite only video - aimed at people who were interested in developing NZ road racing. To those people that have seen this video - watch it again. We still would love to hear from you.

MiniGP Academy NZ needs support now more than ever.

We have removed the restriction and now need to share this with anyone who wishes to see this unparalleled Junior development pathway continue.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gluGIyb6hXc&t=3s

The progress that MiniGP riders have made in the last 12months has been astounding. NZ MiniGP Race series champions, World Ohvale selections, Victoria Motorcycle Club Inc Champions, Rookie of the year awards - staggering results!

215 different juniors have ridden MiniGP bikes in the last 15 or so months....

Every single junior who raced in the VMCC Junior Development Cup came from and is still active in MiniGP Academy NZ!

Do you want to see this fade away?

Do you want the next lot of juniors to miss out?

Do you know someone who has been looking for a way to get involved with junior development - but hasn't found that something different!

Pass this on - lets keep going

do it anyway

WE WANT YOU!

MiniGP Series planning has started - what we need this year is MANPOWER!!

We are looking at 4-6 rounds of MiniGP Racing over summer.

We need a core group aka the "MiniGP Masterminds", being a group of people who wish to oversee the series, these will be the planners and relationship builders of the series. Not all events will be run as stand alone events - we will be dove tailing into events that will be including MiniGP competition, how cool!

We will need a group of no less than 6 Mini Masterminds. The playbook of how to run a series has been created, we can evolve and build on last years efforts.

Then there will be MiniGP Academy NZ run events - therefore we need "Local legends" camps. These are people who wish to put on a MiniGP Round at their place/region. Local legends will be asked to assist with local logistics, track marshals, and accomodation options for the small number of staff of the series. You can make the event as grand or as grass roots as you like.

Each camp of local legends requires 4 people minimum - we have a Manawatu "camp" locked down already, with Taranaki also looking nearly complete.

The tracks we can hire are:

Rosebank Speedway - Auckland Speedway Riders Club
Kartsport Tokoroa
Kartsport Manawatu
Kartsport Hawkes Bay
KartSport Taranaki
Manfeild Back Track

The more Local legends the more rounds we can do - so its up to you how good of a series you want it to be!

We will start with Over arching Zoom/Teams chats once a fortnight - This will be executed by the MiniGP Masterminds and one representative from each Local legend camp will need to be in attendance. Local gaggle chats can be self prescribed - but suggest once a fortnight also.
