We are a small, family business located in the central north island offering mobile mechanical repairs, break down service and vehicle recovery/transport.

This classic Hilux was delivered new to the Australian police back in 1982 and quickly put to work in the outback chasing down Mad Max wannabes.

It didn’t take long for the boys in blue to realise the factory donk was less than ideal for patrol duties, so they re-powered it with the mighty GM 253 V8.

Fast forward to 1988 and it was retired from police service, exported to New Zealand and has now found its way into the hands of a dedicated Crumpy enthusiast.

Not because of its high value, stunning looks or brutal performance, but because the Toyota Aqua is so damn easy to steal! Come on, Toyota. Surely you can engineer a bit of security into these things?
This thief’s joyride came to an abrupt end when police deployed road spikes, bringing the slow-speed pursuit to an end.

Mangamuka take two, our second time up through the gorge in as many weeks. This time with a Toyota Surf body on board, soon to become the replacement body for a rusted out Lexus powered 90 mile beach truck. .

Heading for the far north via the spectacular Mangamuka gorge. This classic Studebaker is one of just 5 that were imported from Canada in 1965. Factory built in right hand drive and equiped with the very rare option Chevrolet 283 V8. This one family owner example has now been handed down to the original owners very excited granddaughter.
