Immediate opening for auto technician

We are currently looking to fill a position in the auto side. Tires, brakes, suspension, alignment, general auto repair duties. This position also has the possibility to learn the hydraulics side of our business if the individual is interested but not required for this position.

Pay depending on experience.

So take a walk back in time with me for a few minutes…

Anyone remember when they used look for ways to cut costs when making something? I’m not taking about making this just cheaper quality - we are talking actually taking cost out of a build.

So today a customer rolls into the shop with one of those big green planters with a hydraulic leak. After a couple seconds looking, yeah we can simplify this situation. See the series of pictures attached.
1) how the assembly is on the machine
2) shows the “quick connect” fitting
3) shows the connection between the cylinder and the “adapter” they have to install to use the “quick connect” fitting - ie added cost
4) shows the “quick connect”
5) shows a simpler, cheaper and far more common solution to the connection
6) shows the elbow from the planters cylinder and fitting that takes an extra part out of the equation.

Now I’m sure the “quick connectors” are great at the factory for the assembly process. But they are terrible for the end user as they are not readily available at most fluid power providers and they really are proprietary- you can’t even put brand X on brand S connector. And the vendor that makes the style shown actually has 3 different versions of this type of quick connector - none of which interchange with even their own other styles. They want you to see that, try your local hydraulic shop and end up having to go to them to get hoses made. And let me tell you these machines are full of this style quick connectors.

So remember we are here to support you during your busy times. We can generally meet you at the shop in 15-20 minutes for a carry in repair or build. We have the mobile crimper ready to go all the time and can help with those mile long hoses that would have to come out to get fixed.

Great news to announce! We are excited to announce a lower priced high quality hose product for 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2” hose assemblies.

We now carry the Continental extended life XR16SC (2 wire) to cover all applications as well as the standard C-Series HR16 (2 wire) in our most popular sizes (-4 1/4”, -6 3/8” and -8 1/2”). For higher pressure applications we have Continental XCP4S (4,000 psi spiral) and XCP6S (6,000 psi spiral)

Also with a new program that we signed up for today we’re lowering our hose prices effective today on all the hose just in time for the busy spring season.
