I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported Hill’s Auto & Jeep as the shop continues to grow. Your patience, referrals, and continued trust are the key ingredients that have allowed this seed to sprout.

While spending time away recently with our newborn gave us the opportunity to step back, analyze the shop as a whole, identify areas for improvement, and plan for the next stage of growth. While building the shop as a one-man operation created a strong foundation, we believe bringing on additional skilled help and sharing the workload will allow us to operate smoother and provide even higher quality service.

As we return back to the shop shortly, we’re excited to begin expanding operations by hiring additional technician help to increase availability for incoming work, improve turnaround times, and continue growing the shop in every way possible to better serve our customers. We’re looking forward to the ability to say “yes” to incoming work more than ever before.

We truly appreciate all the support and look forward to continuing to better serve our community. We’re excited to soon have increased availability and capacity for additional repairs, diagnostics, fabrication, upgrades, and other projects as the shop continues growing.

I was having signal drop outs with the aftermarket sensors. They were easier to adjust but not worth it as a trade-off for poor signal. I came up with using an oe style crankshaft position sensor (same as the this xj uses) and made a new mount. Therefore parts availability is great, and it’s got perfect signal. Happy Monday!

This JK was brought in with a transmission limp mode issue that was ultimately due to transfer case position sensor faults.
I have evidence that the signal wire has a intermittent short to ground near the Bell housing area of the wiring harness. That would require hours of work to get access and repair the suspected area.

I opted to run a redundant circuit and bypass the potentially damaged OEM harness. Two wires tapped into the TIPM connector C100, ran nice and neatly down to the transfer case.
Got the job done simple, safely, and less labor intensive, which all saves the customer money.
