From that same ~8:15 PM state board, Curtis — here are the games where the favorite is in trouble:
**Upset alerts**
- **Hunt (came in 7-0) is getting shut out, 38-0, by Northern Nash (5-2) at halftime** — the biggest story in the state tonight; the Warriors' perfect season is being dismantled at home.
- **West Iredell (7-0) trails Newton-Conover (3-4), 21-14** — 2nd Q. Another unbeaten on the ropes.
- ** #3 Grimsley leads Page only 15-12 at halftime** — the Whirlies are in a real fight.
- **Asheboro (6-1) trails Eastern Guilford (3-3), 7-6** — 2nd Q.
- **Charlotte Catholic trails Marvin Ridge 14-7** — 3rd Q.
- **South Rowan leads Salisbury 12-6** — 3rd Q. Salisbury doesn't lose many of those.
- ** #24 Northside (Jacksonville) leads Dixon just 12-6** — 3rd Q.
**Close calls worth an eye**
- Hibriten (7-0) leads R-S Central only 14-7 — 2nd Q.
- South Point and Kings Mountain tied 7-7 at the half.
- Hobbton and West Columbus tied 22-22 at the half.
Everything else at the top of the state is behaving — Hough, Weddington, Mallard Creek, Rolesville, Reagan and Tarboro are all rolling. I'll flag any of these that actually flip when the finals come in tonight.
