A grassroots motorsport team's unpaid social media intern has declared war on AI generated race posters, announcing this weekend's schedule with a graphic painstakingly created in Microsoft Paint.

The image, featuring the iconic Comic Sans, a red rectangle with four uneven black circles, and the caption "QUALIFYING SATURDAY – DON'T BE LATE", appeared on the team's Instagram Friday morning alongside the message: "Drawn by a human using a mouse. F**k your prompts."

While rival teams spent the week posting AI generated masterpieces depicting race cara drifting through flaming canyons beneath random biohazard symbols, The local intern opted for something considerably more radical.

A series of pieces that would fit right in at a Picasso exhibition.

"I was tired of seeing race announcements that looked like a military junta issuing a martial law decree," They explained while attempting to undo an accidental Paint Bucket click that had turned half the canvas fluorescent pink.

"Sure, my car looks like a brick on roller skates, but it has four wheels, one driver, and our sponsor's name hasn't been translated into ancient Viking runes."

The poster reportedly took four minutes to complete which is surprisingly quicker than writing a prompt, waiting for it to process, then waiting 4 hours for the tokens to reset.

Its artistic flourishes included tyre smoke created with the MS Paint spray can tool, a single black line representing a rear wing, and text that managed to communicate the qualifying time without a single distressed font, glowing red 'X', or radioactive hazard symbol.

The graphic has since been praised by grassroots motorsport fans, many relieved to see a race announcement that didn't resemble an emergency evacuation notice or the cover art for a post apocalyptic first person shooter.

At the time of publication, Miller confirmed he was already preparing a podium graphic in Microsoft WordArt using a Acer Aspire laptop with Windows 98 Installed.

Confidential images allegedly showing Ford's upcoming World Endurance Championship engine have leaked overnight, with Australian experts requiring less than three seconds to conclude the entire program is based around "a Barra with an absolutely filthy turbo on it."

The grainy photos, which sources insist "weren't meant to get out yet," have already done the rounds of Falcon Facebook groups, where thousands of mechanics, apprentices and FIFO workers have independently reached the exact same technical assessment.

"Yeah, that's a farkin Barra alright, confirmed local driveline specialist Shaun 'Shagga' Peterson after squinting at four blurry pixels on his phone. "Big snail hanging off the side too. They're not even hiding it."

Unconfirmed sources close to the project have stated that the Barra was ripped “out of a clapped out yellow cab with 329,000km on the odometer”.

Ford has refused to comment on the authenticity of the leaked images, although insiders say engineers have been instructed to stop referring to the prototype as "the boosted Barra thing" during official meetings.

The endurance racing program is expected to feature state of the art hybrid systems, advanced energy recovery technology and world class engineering, while Australian observers remain confident the real breakthrough was simply "winding another 15 pounds into it."

Local motorsport enthusiast Kev "Spanner" Higgins stood leaning against the pit straight fence this morning, shaking his head in absolute disgust as two young race drivers shared a post race fist bump after a dramatic paint rubbing finish.

"Look at that rubbish," Kev muttered, spitting a bit of Winfield Blue ash onto the tarmac. "They’re touching knuckles. Why aren’t they touching jaws? Back in the day, if a bloke turned you around, you didn't wait for the driving standards observer to look at the telemetry. You got out of the car, marched down to his garage, and had a proper, unfiltered yarn with your fists.

After external commenters gently suggested to Kev that perhaps the modern grid operates at a higher level of emotional maturity, using advanced sports psychology to maintain their focus under extreme G forces rather than risking a multi race suspension and losing millions in corporate sponsorship.

Kev’s posture stiffened immediately. The zipper on his vintage nylon team jacket strained as his chest swelled with pure, unadulterated boomer rage.

"Sports psychology?!" Kev bellowed over the sound of a roaring V8. "What the bloody hell is that? In my day, sports psychology was a cold glass of rum and a bloke in your ear telling you not to be a soft c*nt! You think Dick Johnson or Peter Brock cared about 'emotional maturity'? If someone cut them off, they didn't go back to the paddock to meditate, they settled it like men!"

When informed that modern data shows emotional regulation actually keeps a driver's heart rate lower, resulting in better tyre management and fewer unforced errors, Kev began to visually vibrate, his face turning the exact shade of red on a Marlboro packet.

At press time, Kev was being escorted away by track security after trying to challenge a 21 year old rookie to a bare knuckle brawl over a disputed track limits warning.

After seeing the internet collectively lose its mind over the new Formula 1 regulations, Post Round Dump has decided to do what any serious motorsport journalistic organisation would do:

Spend way too much time trying to answer a question nobody can agree on.

What is real racing?

Coming sometime in August pending Toasty Trevs house arrest, PRD will attempt its most ambitious piece of journalism yet (which is concerning, considering our usual research budget is 6 beers and a capcut subscription).

The team will dive into the history of Formula 1, looking back through different eras, controversial rule changes, legendary battles and the constant argument that has followed motorsport forever:

"It was real racing back then."

But was it?

We’ll look beyond F1 as well, exploring other categories and asking what actually makes racing feel like racing. Is it close battles? Incredible drivers? Unpredictable outcomes? Technical innovation? Or are rose tinted glasses obstructing our view of the past?

PRD Founder and Co-Host Maka explains:

"Everyone has a different idea of what real racing is. It's like an argument with two divorced parents, it never fully gets resolved. Some people want cars three wide every lap, some people want the fastest machines ever built, and some people just want to complain about whatever the latest rule change is. We thought we’d actually look into it and read stuff."

Speaking exclusively to PRD, motorsport philosopher Toasty Trev added:

"After a couple of beers, We’ve gone back through history, looked at different categories and asked the important questions."

Fans are celebrating the release of Charlie and the Chev Factory, a wholesome family film loosely based on Team 18 owner Charlie Schwerkolt's magical journey into becoming General Motors' official homologation team.

The feature follows Charlie Schwerkolt after he's handed the golden ticket to a mysterious Chevrolet factory where every room contains a different engineering headache, from wind tunnel tests to CAD models and dealing with technical parity.

Featuring in the film is an army of David Reynolds Oompa Loompas, who spend their days delivering cheeky one liners, questioning government conspiracies, and bursting into song everytime the term “parity” is mentioned.

A sports psychologist has opened Australia's first dedicated Motorsport Trauma Department after warning that thousands of otherwise functional adults are still carrying unresolved emotional damage from controversial racing incidents stretching back more than 20 years.

The breakthrough came after noticing a growing number of patients whose blood pressure remained perfectly normal until someone casually mentioned the phrases "Abu Dhabi 2021", "Bathurst 2019", or "Newcastle 2017”

"Some people bottle up childhood trauma," he explained.
"Others have spent five years mentally replaying Abu Dhabi 2021, insisting they're over it while somehow remembering every lap and radio message by heart."

The clinic says it has also seen an influx of Australian patients who become visibly distressed whenever the 2019 Bathurst 1000 is mentioned, with many still able to recite every controversial call, safety car deployment and stewarding decision despite claiming they "don't even think about it anymore."

Other long term sufferers reportedly include Formula 1 fans still arguing over infamous championship deciding moments, Supercars supporters convinced the officials robbed their favourite driver, and NASCAR fans who have somehow kept decade old forum arguments alive through three different social media platforms.

Doctors say common symptoms include elevated heart rate after hearing the phrase "let them race," involuntary shouting at replay footage, and the compulsive need to comment, "I'm still not over it," beneath any motorsport highlight uploaded to Facebook.

Parents have welcomed Pixar's latest commitment to educational storytelling after the studio confirmed an Andrea Moda Formula One toy will appear in the latest Toy Story film to provide younger audiences with an early lesson in the importance of basic competence.

The tiny black and white Formula One car is expected to spend much of the film sitting motionless under Andy's bed while the other toys gently explain that confidence, ambition and a lacklustre engineering don't automatically qualify someone for the world's highest level of motorsport.

Insiders to Pixar say the character fills an important gap in the franchise.
"Every child grows up believing they can be anything," said one producer.

"We just thought it was time someone also explained that rocking up spectacularly underprepared and making everyone else's day worse isn't actually an inspiring life choice."

A motorsport journalist scraping the bottom of the content barrel has today declared that a motorsport team moving its recycling bin from outside the factory to inside the gates is "an intriguing development worth monitoring."

With no driver drama, technical directives or contract sagas to keep the content mill turning, the reporter instead devoted 900 words to the strategic decision to relocate the yellow lidded bin in a bid to stop rats helping themselves to empty soft drink cans and tuna tins.

"It's definitely significant," explained the journalist, zooming in on grainy Google Street View screenshots to compare the bin's previous location with its new home roughly 12 metres away.

"There are questions that need answering. Was this a facilities management decision? A cost-saving measure? Could this indicate an internal restructure? We simply don't know."

Sources within the team confirmed the move was prompted by "too many rats getting into it," before returning to work and wondering why anyone had called.

The article concluded by suggesting rival teams would be "watching closely" to see whether bringing the recycling bin indoors sparks an arms race in waste management ahead of next season.
