These 3M bristle abrasive wheels come in very handy when cleaning and prepping for paint. These are available in many different grits and this yellow one is more aggressive grit.

These work great to get down into the recess of the skid texture to prepare for primer.

Yes they will knock down the skid texture so if you’re trying to keep the texture intact use a mild grit version and keep the tool moving and avoid standing in one spot with the disc. I’m not worried about it here on my boat because this no skid is already worn out and it’ll eventually be covered with foam deck. These also work great for removing foam deck adhesive.

These also work amazing for sanding inside a bilge or anywhere there is raw glass or gelcoat that needs to be prepped.

Made some drastic color choice changes this week after deciding against using the dark beige color. It was simply going to be tooo HOT for South Florida. I truly don’t understand how guys have dark colored boats. Even medium gray colors collect 10-20 degrees more surface heat.

Decided on a light white with hint of lime green with white center console and black accents.

I don’t want to stop taking new orders, however I’m a minimum of 8 weeks backed up right now for all FRP orders including hatches and other small parts. It’s been consistently over 100deg in my shop and I simply cannot make parts as fast as I can in the winter. Plus I’m old and I’m struggling to be in here 😂 with a suit and mask on.

If you need parts and you’re able to wait, I’ll take your deposit.

I’m only making this post so I can easily point to it when a customer wants to argue with me about waiting. Both my socials and website clearly state my lead times.

❓Did you know that the foredeck of classic Contenders have a slight “crest” in the center ? My Contender anchor lid replacement has the same crest/crown built into it so that it fits just like the original OEM lid. These are available to fit many older Contenders when your lid snaps off and sinks to the bottom of the ocean.
