The Audi A6 2.0T is a well-rounded luxury sedan that offers a compelling blend of performance, comfort, and efficiency. Powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, it delivers respectable acceleration and passing power. While not as potent as the V6 models, the 2.0T's fuel economy is impressive for its size, with EPA estimates around 24 mpg city and 35 mpg highway.
The A6's interior is a highlight, with high-quality materials, excellent fit and finish, and a user-friendly MMI infotainment system. The cabin is spacious and comfortable, even for taller passengers in the rear. However, some reviewers note that the interior design is starting to feel a bit dated compared to newer competitors.
Handling is composed and confident, though the A6 2.0T exhibits some understeer when pushed hard. The ride quality is generally good, soaking up bumps well, but larger imperfections can upset the chassis at lower speeds. The steering feel could be improved, as it lacks some feedback.
While the A6 2.0T's continuously variable transmission (CVT) isn't as refined as Audi's conventional automatics or dual-clutch units, the paddle shifters help provide a semblance of driver engagement. Overall, the A6 2.0T strikes a nice balance between performance, luxury, and efficiency for those who don't need the power of the V6 models.
