Every single comment I get is necessary, the good ones and the ones that ruffle my feathers.
My last videos had sparked some engagement haha
I don’t have a run tank to tune carburetors on outboards, shocking I know.
So I make do with what I do have, I hate sitting at the boat ramp trying to work. It’s always hot and you never have all the tools you need.
So I get a base tune at the shop then I hit the water for the final tune.
This is my evidence of that method.

I am looking to put some large projects on schedule, engine rebuilds, pump rebuild, performance upgrades.

I know I’ve created a name for myself in diagnosing and repairs, I still love it but my true love is hot boats.

Long before I started social media that’s what my garage was.
I needed cash flow to get this business going so I took any project I could get, so I don’t have much film of Hot Boat builds.

Stay tuned for the Ford 460 build that’s currently in the works.
I have a feeling it might open some new eyes and open a new chapter for us here at FTM

When I was doing some finish carpentry back in the day my mentor use to JUMP MY ASS about measuring things then check it with my EYES!! 👀

Reason: Average homeowner wasn’t going to pull a tape measure out, they will use their eyes. If it LOOKS off they don’t care if it was demensionally perfect (made that word up) they care if it looked good.

My point is that I can check all day with my vac gauge but my ears told me different. Find your happy medium and trust your senses as well.

Go ask any old school mechanic to tune a carburetor. They’ll grab a flat head and a b**r. 🍻
