COL (Ret.) William Harold Bohannon, known as “Bo,” was born on July 14, 1938, in Alabama, and passed away on January 31, 2026, at the age of 87. He was a longtime resident of Killeen, Texas.

Bo proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring with the rank of Colonel after a distinguished career marked by dedication, leadership, and integrity. A humble Green Beret, Bo served multiple tours in Vietnam and Thailand. He completed more than 25 years of military service, earning numerous awards and distinctions, including the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, and Expert Infantryman Badge, among many others. His service reflected a lifelong commitment to duty and to the soldiers he led and served alongside.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Never forget our fallen! Today we honor the memory of SSG Leroy E. Alexander, who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. March 25, 1978 – June 03, 2005 Staff Sgt. Leroy E. Alexander, 27, was a Special Forces engineer sergeant assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He was killed in action while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom on June 3, 2005, when an enemy Improvised Explosive Device exploded near his Ground Mobility Vehicle during operations in the vicinity of Orgun-e, Afghanistan.
