Here's something I wish more brands knew before they hire a creator.
Raw footage and a finished video are not the same thing.
Raw is me reading the script straight to camera, mess-ups and all, no polish. That's useful — it's fast, it's honest, and some brands want exactly that so their own editor can finish it.
A finished video is a different job. That's the one with the clean cut, the captions, the whole thing ready to post.
Neither one is wrong. But if you don't say which one you're buying, somebody ends up disappointed, and it's usually the brand.
So when you reach out to a creator, ask the plain question: am I getting raw footage, or a finished video? Get the answer in writing before anybody films anything.
That's it. No pitch-man stuff. Just the thing I've learned doing this work.
