How would you rank the current diesel engine options in 2026 between the 6.7L Powerstroke, 6.6L L5P Duramax, and the 6.7L Cummins?

The Powerstroke makes the most horsepower and torque and is mated to the 10R140. The L5P is a significant leap from the LML and is mated to the 10L1000. The Cummins seems to have taken a step back because of the roller lifters, but is mated to a much more reliable ZF 8 Speed, than the older 6 speeds. Each setup has their own advantages and issues. Which is your favorite?

10R80 Owners. How much did your rebuild or replacement cost? How many miles did you have at the time of repair?

A lot of shops and even dealerships push 10R80 replacements versus rebuilds. That is due to a few different factors: lack of technicians, lower time of repair (usually), and someone else stands behind the warranty. We like to rebuild versus replace. This ensures that the updated parts are being installed, while also coming in at a lower price point. We have prebuilt units in several configurations to help reduce the repair time. While our prices fluctuate due to Ford part pricing, we always try to be fair to customers.
