π A NEW KING OF THE SUVs?
For nearly a decade, the Toyota RAV4 has been America's best-selling SUV. But through the first nine months of 2026, there's a new leader in town.
And it's wearing a Honda badge.
π The numbers tell the story:
π Honda CR-V: 336,844 sold
π Toyota RAV4: 253,664 sold
That's an impressive 83,180-vehicle advantage for Honda through September!
But before Toyota loyalists start throwing their keys at me, there's more to this story. π
Toyota's transition to an all-new, hybrid-only RAV4 has created production and availability challenges. Meanwhile, Honda has continued delivering CR-Vs to American buyers.
Does that make the Honda the better SUV?
Not necessarily.
Both vehicles have earned their reputations for reliability, practicality, and long-term value. Toyota's hybrid-only approach brings impressive fuel economy, while Honda continues to offer buyers a choice of powertrains.
And here's something I've learned after years in the automotive business:
The best-selling vehicle isn't necessarily the best vehicle for YOU.
That's why I believe in helping customers find the right vehicle, not simply following the latest sales rankings.
Now I'm curious...
π Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV4 β which one gets YOUR vote, and why?
