3D printed center caps for BBS wheels

So Silas bought a set of BBS wheels on marketplace that did not have center caps. It turns out that someone had already created a 3D model with of them on printable.com. It was not at all the correct size and it did not include the dish. So, after a million hours of redesigning and 3D printing prototypes to test fit… I finally got them printed and put on the car.

This is when I noticed that the damage was more than just some bearings that ran dry. I was hoping that all I would have to do is replace a couple bearings and polish the crank journals. Then I noticed the bottom of the piston skirt was all scraped up as I rotated it to get to the next pair of rod bearings.

Checking bearings and crank journals for damage… obviously the bearings were toast but the crank polished up.

I thought the oil leak was coming from the timing cover. So I removed it and checked to see if the mating surface was flat.
