Most of what comes through here isn't exotic. It's the car in your driveway.

Older paint behaves differently. Thinner clear, softer, and already corrected at least once by somebody.

So you read it before you touch it, and you take less off than you think you need to.

Titanium and coated tips turn colour with heat. That's not damage — it's the finish doing what it's meant to do.

Which is exactly why they don't get attacked with metal polish. Soot comes off with the right chemistry and a soft touch, and the heat colour stays where it belongs.

Scrub it bright and you've taken off the part people paid for.

A full-size SUV isn't a harder car to detail. It's just more of one.

Roughly double the panel area of a coupe, glass you need a step for, wheels you can't reach across, and a third row most people forget is part of the interior until they see the vacuum come out.

Nothing about the process changes. The clock does.

Paint correction has a reputation as a shine service. It isn't. It's removal.

The swirls in your clear coat are scratches. Levelling them means taking a few microns of clear off until the surface is flat again — which is exactly why it's worth doing properly once instead of roughly every year. Clear coat doesn't grow back.

Then it gets protected, so the finish you paid for stays that way.

A red interior almost never wears out. It fades out.

The hide will take years of getting in and out of a low car. What it doesn't take is Florida sun coming through that much glass, day after day, on a surface that shows every shade it loses.

So it gets cleaned into the grain rather than wiped across it, and conditioned afterwards so it stays supple instead of drying out. No shine — leather isn't supposed to be shiny.

Machine polishing is slow on purpose. One panel, then the light, then the next panel.

Go quickly and you don't remove the swirls — you just move them somewhere the light isn't.
