$800 FB Marketplace find F-250 becomes a 1985 Ford Raptor.

looked at an old Bullnose and saw a modern-day Raptor. The challenged himself to build in 40 days.

After more than 340 labor hours squeezed between a full-time job and raising three kids, the project is finally starting to look like the vision. The truck isn’t finished yet, but for the first time, the concept is real: a 1985 Ford Raptor built from a Bullnose Ford.

The build started as a rough old F-250 and evolved into a long-travel, big-horsepower desert truck with modern running gear underneath:

• 460ci Ford Racing small block making 575 hp and 575 lb-ft
• Powertrain Reman-built 6R80 automatic transmission
• Performance Adapters conversion kit
• US Shift Quick 6 controller
• Advance Adapters Atlas transfer case with 3:1 gearing
• Carrick Customs 4-inch long-travel TTB suspension
• Yukon Gear 4.56 gears and Sterling 10.25 Zip Locker
• ARB Dana 50 Air Locker (coming soon)
• Mickey Thompson 37x12.50R17 Baja Boss MTs
• US Wheel 17-inch Rat Rod steel wheels

The best part may be that it wasn’t built in a shop with unlimited resources. It was built nights, weekends, and whenever time could be found between work, family, and life.

The truck isn’t done yet.

But seeing a Bullnose Ford transformed into something that looks like a factory-built 1985 Raptor is enough to stop just about any truck guy in his tracks.

Send a congratulations to for a successful challenge.

Is this Truck to bring the highest bid at Mecum?

Well-built 1967-72 Chevrolet K10 short-bed 4x4s have consistently sold everywhere from $80,000 to more than $300,000 at Barrett Jackson and Mecum auctions.

That’s why Lot S105.1 is worth watching at Mecum Tulsa.

No, it’s not a Cheyenne Super. It’s a CST. But before Chevrolet introduced the Cheyenne in 1971, CST was the brand’s premium truck trim.

More importantly, it has the formula buyers keep rewarding:

1972 CHEVROLET K10

Rebuilt 350

Automatic TH350

Short bed.

Four-wheel drive.

Vintage Air.

Dakota Digital gauges.

Strong stance.

Clean presentation.

The question isn’t whether K10s are hot.

The question is whether this one becomes Tulsa’s top truck sale.

THE HOTTEST TRUCK IN TULSA?

Chevrolet built more than 300,000 pickups in 1972.

Only 26,643 were K10 4x4s.

Fifty years later, they’re one of the hottest trucks in the collector market.

The best Cheyenne and Cheyenne Super short-bed two-tone K10s have established the ceiling, with exceptional examples selling from $80,000 to more than $300,000 at major auctions.

This truck isn’t a Cheyenne.

It’s a CST, the hightest trim level up until 1972 when it was replaced by the Cheyenne and Cheynne Super.

34K-Mile 7.3 Five-Speed Surfaces in West Virginia

This 1994 Ford F-Super Duty recently surfaced in Mt. Hope, West Virginia showing just 34,000 miles, a 7.3L IDI and the ZF5 manual transmission. Finished in Raven Black, it sits on factory steel wheels with simulators and reportedly spent its life in climate-controlled storage.

Listed at $29,900, it’s simply a clean, low-mile Ford diesel that caught our eye.
