We offer our sincerest apologies to individuals who attempted to contact our business line via call or text. The phone was misplaced by one of our mechanics on duty last night and set to silent mode. We have recovered the device and will respond to all messages and calls promptly.

A customer called believing they needed a Starter Replacement on their old school Cadillac NorthStar. Turns out it was a hydrolocked engine. This was due to the coolant making it's way into the cylinder. Coolant makes metal grab together instead of lubricating by displacing the oil. This caused the piston to get hydrolocked by the coolant.

Even when your body says it's time to clock out other people need you for after hours roadside emergencies.

As a mobile mechanic you don't always get to just clock out because it's late, sometimes you have to answer the phone and jump out of bed to assist. This was one of those times, on the way to work a customer had a bad blow out. Glad we were able to help and they were safe.

Tax season is here, and for many of us, that means it’s time to go car shopping! 🚗💨
Whether you are using your refund to upgrade your own daily driver or buying a reliable first car for a loved one, buying a used vehicle is a big decision. You are usually putting a lot of your hard-earned cash down upfront, and the reality is that most used cars are sold "as-is" with absolutely NO warranty.
Before you sign on the dotted line and drive off the lot, please get a Pre-Purchase Inspection done by a trusted mechanic. Whether you call us or use someone else, it is always better to be safe than sorry!
At Mims Mobile Mechanics LLC, our Pre-Purchase Inspections run between $150 and $250, depending on how in-depth you need us to go. We will thoroughly inspect the vehicle, identify hidden issues, and provide you with documentation of any necessary repairs.
Pro Tip: You can often use our inspection reports to negotiate a much lower asking price! 📉
Money doesn’t grow on trees, so don't let a shiny lemon drain your bank account! 🌳💸 Be cautious, be smart, and let us take a look under the hood first.
Send us a direct message or give us a call today to get your inspection on the schedule! 🔧

Breathing new life into a 27-year-old classic! 🚗💨
We tackled an intake manifold replacement on this Lincoln Town Car. While we were in there, we saw the EGR and throttle body were caked in decades of carbon buildup. We couldn't just leave it like that—so we threw in a complimentary deep clean! ✨
Wait for the before and after at the end—so satisfying! 🤤
