We tested 20-gauge birdshot for home defense by firing it from a 12-inch barrel into drywall and 7/16-inch plywood. The pe*******on surprised me—but what happened five feet behind the wall revealed the biggest difference between birdshot and buckshot. Could birdshot deliver a serious wound while reducing dangerous overpe*******on, or is buckshot still the better home-defense sh***un load? Watch this real-world sh***un wall pe*******on test before deciding what am******on belongs in your home-defense setup. Testing was performed in a controlled environment. Always follow fi***rm-safety rules and local laws.

Is a .410 slug safer for home defense, or does it still overpenetrate through walls? In this test, we send a 1/5 ounce .410 lead slug through drywall and 7/16 plywood to see what really happens after it hits a wall. The entry hole looks small, but the slug’s path, drop, and backstop impact tell a bigger story. If you are comparing .410 sh***un home defense, sh***un slugs, drywall pe*******on, and low-recoil home defense ammo, this wall test is worth watching before you decide.

This is one of those gear items every get-home bag, go bag, EDC bag, or bug-out bag needs. I tested a few water filters, and the best part is you do not need to spend big to get real peace of mind. Whether you want a straw system or a simple water filtration setup, this is cheap insurance that can make a huge difference when clean water matters most. I was surprised by how clean it tasted and how easy it was to use, and I think every gun owner, prepper, and tactical shooter should have one in the bag.

Home defense sh***uns are too big and hard to move with—or are they? In this quick sh***un myth breakdown, we look at barrel length, maneuverability, aiming, and am******on choices using a tactical sh***un like the Beretta A300. A 24-inch hunting sh***un may feel too long indoors, but shorter defensive sh***uns tell a different story. Watch before you rule out a sh***un for home protection, and always train with your fi***rm, follow safe-storage practices, and understand your local laws.

The Springfield Echelon is optic-ready, but does it really need a red dot? After 29 years of shooting three-dot iron sights, I’m still split on pistol optics. In this Springfield Echelon 9mm review, I explain what impressed me, why this modern striker-fired pistol deserves a serious look, and whether I would run it with a red dot or stick with traditional sights. Watch before choosing your next optic-ready 9mm.

The Smith & Wesson Model 36 faces the S&W 627 Performance Center in a classic five-shot vs eight-shot revolver comparison. One is a compact .38 Special J-frame built for concealed carry. The other is a premium eight-shot .357 Magnum with a smoother trigger and a price near $1,500. We put rounds on three targets to see what that extra capacity and money deliver. Is the Model 627 worth twice the price, or does the Model 36 still make more sense?

Is the FK BRNO 7.5mm a serious carry pistol or just a very expensive range toy? After spending time with this powerful, oddball handgun, I understand why it gets so much attention. The 7.5 FK ammo costs close to $2 per round, the safety lever takes practice, and my optic still needs a better zero. Even with those drawbacks, this FK BRNO pistol is incredibly fun to shoot and likely to start conversations at the range. Watch to see why I probably would not carry it every day—but would still want one in my gun collection.

We tested Federal Power-Shok 20 gauge #3 buckshot against a realistic drywall-and-plywood wall to see if it’s truly a good home-defense load. Its 20-pellet pattern looked impressive—but what happened behind the wall raised a serious overpe*******on concern. Then we compared the results with Wi******er Defender 12 ga12-gaugeuge 00 buckshot and a one-ounce slug. Watch the full sh***un wall pe*******on test before choosing your home-defense ammo. Filmed safely on a controlled range—never attempt this outside a proper shooting environment.

We tested POM pepper spray to see how quickly it works in a real-world self-defense situation—and the delayed reaction surprised us. The burning eventually became intense, but it was not the instant stop many people expect. Watch the full pepper spray test to see the subject’s reaction, recovery, and why you should always have a backup plan when carrying OC spray for everyday protection.

Is a $1,400 revolver really worth it when a $400 S&W Model 36 .38 Special has been trusted for over 10 years? In this video, we look at the real difference between a classic 5-shot .38 Special carry revolver and a larger 8-shot .357 Magnum revolver that can also shoot .38. We talk price, capacity, recoil, ankle carry, and why I still prefer .38 Special over .357 Magnum for most carry situations. If you’re into snub nose revolvers, concealed carry revolvers, backup guns, or old-school wheel guns, this comparison might change how you look at your next carry gun.
